I was in the same boat, I just messaged him on Rollitup with attachment that showed my sign in username on this forum!

It looks like you both just past 10 posts. Once you hit 10 posts you should be able to IM. This very same thing happened to me. Try again. And if it still doesn't work tonight try again tomorrow.
