Drying in a grow tent - cardboard box?

Post by ReeferSpin »

Hi growers!

I'm about to do my first harvest, and while I don't think I will yield a great deal (see diary here for the full story first-grow-mephisto-sour-crack-2950), I can only dry in my tent, and the other plant will still be going for a few weeks more I think.

Smell is my main concern.

Has anyone used a cardboard box in the tent?

My tent has an open flap (oooerr) for passive intake, next to the open flap is a oil radiator to keep the temps up. So I have no ability to hook up an intake through a cardboard box, and no room anyway! Tent runs at 22-27 at the canopy, 2-3 degrees cooler on the floor.

Any other ideas?

If it isn't ideal, then I don't mind that much, just seeing if there are any other choices.

Thanks for looking

Reefer

Get a second tent :p
The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

I used to use paper bags to dry in a tent and continue growing. Never had any issues drying this way took a little longer to dry other than that was a great of drying tbh.

kbag has a point, sometimes drying too fast imho takes away a bit of the flavour :( - on the other hand I think it stops any worry of the hay smell.

I generally hang in a gigantic box and then move to paper bags before jarring. My RH jumps +-10% between days.

Think a second tent is way to go. I'm currently looking for a second small tent just to dry in

From what I have read no air flow round when drying can cause issues
Whoever said the best things in life are free blatantly grew their own pot
