Was using 9-litre pots but found going to a 30-litre pot looks like way more yield without added pot height. Soil.

I used to grow autos, mostly in 10 or 15 litre pots,
you get a bit more yield in 15's to be honest.
Best advice I can give regarding autos is to get a decent root stimulator, like roots excellerator or something similar, or even seaweed based feed.
Also get youer environment cracked and go wet/dry cycles.
they like a bit of molasses in bloom too and they wil take off

Re: What is the best pot size for auto autoflower strains
What is the difference in pot size between soil and coco? I guess soil needs larger pots to provide a bigger "reservoir" for nutrients? And I guess photoperiods would need bigger pots as well as they usually take a bit longer?
I'm deciding on pots and I am split between 15l and 20l airpots for autos in soil.

10-12l is good for autos in soil. If you can get airpots even better.weedabix wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 11:18 amWhat is the difference in pot size between soil and coco? Cool, thank you Keeno!
I guess I'll go for the smaller ones then, the next size down would be 8l and that's too small.

I normally grow autos in 11 litre Wilma pots (using soil) and also with 6 litre Wilma's from time to time.

Awesome, that's actually much smaller than what I thought was necessary! I'll see what they have at the shop that is closest to 11l.
thanks for your advice!

Re: What is the best pot size for auto autoflower strains
Having not run any autos yet, I am this year outdoors. Decided on 3 gal. pots with lava rock at the bottom inch or so this run.
