Led wiring

Hey everyone looking for some advice from the diy led gurus on here

So I've ordered 5- ish120 boards that I'll be powering with a meanwell HLG-320H-C2100A driver
It has a built in potentiometer that adjusts from 60-320 watts

I was going to wire them in parallel to reduce voltage drop over the 5 boards (like you would get with wiring in series) but I just came across an article saying wiring in parallel on a constant current driver should be avoided at all costs

They say if one board goes out the rest will be overpowered and they will blow out too

So..... Should I wire them in series or parallel?? Thanks in advance guys

Hi man, there is a guide on the invisible sun led website. But when I phoned them up to ask questions when i got mine they assured me that series was the way to go, cant remember why though

Or was it parallell fuck. Hold fire, and let me check mine when i get home

To be honest what you've read makes perfect sense. If they say to avoid parallel I guess you should follow their advice. I am sure someone more educated in electrics will be around to help with that!

Thanks man, I've found a couple guides also and the wiring seems pretty straight forward. Just confusing as there seems to be pros and cons of parallel and series wiring

No doubt bulls, but a lot of people don't wire in series because of voltage drop between boards. I'd imagine 2 or 3 boards not an issue, but I'm hooking 5 to the same driver

Why did you wire in series if it's the same driver? It's constant current right?

I can adjust both voltage and current btw, screws for both
