Hi everyone,
I'm about to start my first grow ever! I joined the cocoforcannabis forum as well, but thought it would be good to reach out to uk growers as well. I am based in the UK myself and I am frustrated with black market weed. There are so many problems with the black market in the UK and the organised crime that runs it so I finally made the decision that I had enough of horrible weed full of chemicals, dodgy dealers and overpriced products that I have no idea what it will be like. I want to grow weed for myself that is mellow, tastes good and doesn't turn friends into dealers. Also, I think it's fun. I grew a little bag seed once and it never got to the point of flowering but I remember the excitement when I first saw the proper leafs show up!
I will start growing in January joining the NYGC over at cocoforcannabis, I will be growing autos in soil to start with and will try to keep it as simple as possible. I have been reading a lot and I am getting really excited about this! I have also been listening to podcasts which eventually brought me here!

Hi Bulls,
thanks for the warm welcome! I was planning to grow in BioBizz soil (light for the seedlings and allmix for the plants) - and add some biobizz nutrients (i got the sample pack for £13). I got myself a growtent (80x80x160), cheap purple led's (I already regret that buy but will stick with it for now) a not-so cheap systemair revolution fan and just now - based on recommendations on this forum a viper cf. I will get the soil and some 15l airpots off my local store. I have some little bits such as a clip on fan, hygrometer, phmeter and ratchets for the lights but will probably need something else. I will also get some acoustic ducting and a fan silencer as the grow tent is in our bedroom and silence is essential for me. Oh, and I got seeds! mostly autoflowers but I want to explore in subsequent grows if I stick to it!
What do you think, how many plants should I go for for now? I was thinking 2-3...
Also, do I need calmag?

I hope you enjoy our forums, if you need any help getting about the place let us know.
It would be a good idea to do a grow diary here as well, given we are mainly UK based we will know about UK based products and the struggles of growing in our summers and winters.
Keep an eye on our competition section as well. We do a lot for Christmas here at GR420.

Looks like you're pretty much set to go mate. I'd say for that size tent get 2 x 15L airpots and 2 plants will be enough. Not sure about the biobizz nutrients but I know for soil Old Timers are very good. Some Bio Silicone is good as well.
