Introduction
Hello all,
I'm Tictok, been into canna since the 90s but only just turned my hand to growing.
Managed to bugger up a couple of grows so far, bagseed was very successful until I harvested too early at week 8 and produced bud that you just cannot sleep on, so that will be curing ad infinitum in the vain hope it improves.
Then naively tried some autos in living soil, before realising you need a large amount if soil to avoid nutrient deficiency, so they died.
Finally sorted my shit out and have some auto brooklyn sunrise ready to sprout in their final 7.5ltr pots using clover along with a NL photo seedling from RQS and a Sunset Sherbet seedling from Pheno Finders.
I have two 60 x 60 tents in an awkward loft grow, the photos will become mothers hopefully to then clone and sog in the other tent. The goal is to make some RSO that will be given to a friend that has cancer. But I can see this hobby going far.
Glad to be onboard, found this forum through listening to the Cheap Home Grow podcast.
I've got a cheapo Kingbo 300w (actual 120w) in one tent and an Invisible Sun ISH 3R in the main tent.
I've got a couple of questions Re the ISH 3R but I'll stick them in the appropriate forum.
I'm self employed, don't do politics or egos and I'm looking forward to gaining some knowledge from this site and contributing where possible.
All the best
Tictok

The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

Re: Introduction
Hi Nanook
Yeah, I'm too old for egos and politics!
Re the ISHR3 it's really early days and I've just posted a question re the power settings and using them for seedlings which is not ideal but it's all I've got currently apart from the blurple.
I have been super impressed with the quality of the build and the superb customer service from ISH, once I've got the power dialed in for the stages of growth I'm confident it will perform. Time will tell if I don't screw up the current grow due to something else!

Re: Introduction
Hey TicTok,
Welcome to the forum. Your store sounds similar to mine. I've been into canna for a while and just turned my hand to growing in a tent. You're in the right place! No ego's here, oy friendly banter and good information.
Look forward to reading some of your posts. I've been looking at the IS lights aswell as other LED's but haven't bought yet.

Re: Introduction
Thanks Keeno and Grumpygrower, good to be here.
I think like many, I just got tired of varying quality and strains from the street, especially nowadays where there are so many hybrids. I like an indicia dominant strain but the street vendor round my way seemingly prefers sativa!
The friend with cancer promoted some research and it was just logical to grow my own.
We were offered some RSO, but they wanted over £2k for it. It apparently takes around 16oz to make but I just can't get my head round profiting from a plant, so if I get that far it will be given away to my mate.
Before going self employed I was in project management, so the 'grow project' has been a great distraction.
All the best

Re: Introduction
Many thanks Nanook, that's really appreciated. Who knew you could use trim?!
Well within a couple of hours of joining this forum I've had brilliant advise on my ISH lights and RSO. Thank you so much, really means a lot.

It is defo the best option mate. GMO is our resident mad scientist with making extracts, I'm sure he can talk your ear of on making your own rso. As for growing your own, you know what's gone in and how it's been treated. You cdn also do specific strains to help what you need your end product for.
