The way I see it, is that if a plant can grow outside with moonlight, street lights etc. then it should be okay in a tent.

Can you not cover the light with something, or does it need to be showing?

From what I've just read, it depends on the type of IR leds used, but it is unlikely that it would affect the dark period as it would need to be 1/4 inch from the leaves

Someone with experience and not just theory might be along to say otherwise though....

Hope this helps

No it won't cause any harm Marcus. Go ahead mate.
Smart plug is great way of turn pumps on/off too. Which one are you planning to get? I bought one for cheap, then I realised I need a HUB too hahah

i dont know if anyone here uses them sorry buddy. i have read that is kinda comes down to what IR colour is being used. but also the amount. some cameras only have like 4 lil IR chips which youd need pretty damn close to your plants for the umol to be usable

im game for giving it a lil test run tho.... for 30 squid its worth a one plant gamble test?

yeah it should be well handy to be able to keep an eye at your plants while away at any time.
I am just a bit paranoid of them IP cameras being accessible by the people in the building I live close by. :Stoned:

I love them devices. Before people used to sneak into your house and install bugs ..now you buy them yourself and put them right in the middle of your living room

Go ahead mate, keep us updated!

That's tempting mate! I've looked at some smart sockets on ebay for 7.99£ which I don't think require a hub or something? The only thing that scares me with them is pump being constantly physically plugged. What if smart plug isn't that smart and turns on itself? Jeez... I don't want to paint the ceiling again.
Really interested to see how your cam will look in dark with them stats. I am almost sure plants to funny stuff when is dark and nobody's looking.
You forgot to ask about KGB and Mossad.
