Re: Turnkey stealth grow system mad science thoughts
Can we hammer out some details?
Medium. coco recirc/ hydro is going to give the cleanest feed back data for the sensors so we should focus on hydro imo
Plant size. is this a single plant system? so are we setting a max sixe od like 70x70cm? then height? normal cupboard size of 1.8-2.2?
life cycle. are we looking to raise the plant to the lights or lower the lights to the plant? will this also be automated? whats the parameters?
hardware location
are you hoping to have the res located at the bottom with an external control unit on the outside? or inside the first layer of the cupboard door? will the physical hardware be located within the cupboard space? or maybe a small ish unit at the back of the cupboard in a controled envrionment so its not affected by the growing area?
there will be more....

Re: Turnkey stealth grow system mad science thoughts
this might be easier to handle mentally if we make it a section with subsections for the components and different variables IE;
cupboard
auto feeder (sensors and doser)
environment (fans/heater and sensors)
feed back (control/display unit)
cupboard
auto feeder (sensors and doser)
environment (fans/heater and sensors)
feed back (control/display unit)

Re: Turnkey stealth grow system mad science thoughts
yes, tbh thats a fair point. I also think I should have bought a better model rasp pi - this one will work but requires a lot more work, and parts meaning it wont be far off the cost of a good one. If I can get the firmware sorted it should just be a case of loading it onto a diff model anyway.
