Re: Dutch Passion Think Different hempy method
Change of plans, if both sprout I'll be running this 45 liter tote. If only one pops they have a 19 liter tote also. These sit much lower than my buckets and I need all the height I can get.
No movement from the seeds yet but hopefully tomorrow night I'll have good news

Re: Dutch Passion Think Different hempy method
Day 1
Good news! One seedling is above ground and has been under a 20 watt led all day, I just dug the other one up and stored it. Might try it in a paper towel some time
Went to the hardware store and got my vermiculite/perlite and the small 5 gallon tote (I'm tired of converting measurements
)
So here's the process I do every time for mixing, in case anyone wants to know-
First of all can't stress this enough...DO NOT breathe in the perlite dust, wear a mask if you're inside. Under a microscope the dust is basically tiny glass shards, not worth getting cancer or some shit over a weed plant
Second and almost as important is to rinse all the vermiculite/perlite before it goes in the pot, or else you'll have a thick layer of sludge at the bottom of your pots because of the raised drain hole
I take 4 scoops of perlite, rinse, 1 scoop of vermiculite, rinse, mix by hand and repeat. Pain in the dick but well worth it
As you can see I drilled the drain hole 2 inches up and also drilled a bunch of holes on top of the tote. Those will be the tie down points for my branches. Decided not to run the screen, I want to be able to take it out for flushing, etc.
Since everything is damp it shouldn't need watered for at least a week I'd imagine.
Currently under 300 watts of mh, I'll keep you guys posted as things progress
Mon the Think Different!

Re: Dutch Passion Think Different hempy method
Watsup growroom?!
Day 7 and been smooth sailing so far, working on the second set of leaves now.
Finally gave her a tiny drink today, just around the base to make sure the roots make their way down to the bottom.
The first time I did hempys I was way too eager to water, learned my lesson for this time around
With a background ppm of 290 (.4 EC) added gh maxigrow until 390 (.5 EC) and ph'd to 5.9
Also decided I'll be using Recharge which is beneficial bacteria, added a couple of syringes around the base.
After doing research for over a year on organic growing, I learned surprisingly enough that michorizae absolutely love perlite. They colonize on it like little islands, it's the perfect texture for them. From there they obviously have easy access to the roots
Happy growing, I'll keep you guys updated on the progress

I’d certainly give it a go with this project bro you need those roots to fill that tub real quick there’s a lot of room to fill and with autos our backs are almost always against he wall with time etc give it a go pal
I have recently switched up my neuts I’m now using the CX RegenAroot 1ml per litre from week 1 veg till flush
