Nitrogen toxicity?

Post by darrenking241 »

Hey there people, just wondering if anyone on here thinks these plants are suffering nitrogen toxicity the leaves on the old growth have clawed down and the new growth looks twisted a bit so I’ve dropped my reservoir ec level from 1.1 to 0.8 to see if it sorts the problem out any help would be appreciated thanks

Looks like you have already done the right thing by dropping the EC Darren.
What is your humidity? and what system are you growing in?

The reason i asked about the humidity is because the plant looks over watered the leaves are showing signs of Edema.

A sign that your plant has been overwatered is edema. If a plant has absorbed more water than it needs, it can cause the plant's cells to expand and stress. Often, these cells are filled to the point of rupturing. ... Another sign of edema is indentations on the top of leaves.

What it looks like to me Darren but how to cure in RDWC i have no idea. Lets see if we can get one the hydro guys to take a look.
please do not worry your plant is not going to suddenly kill over.

Back off the nutes - got a pic of the system? is the water level too high? Bubblers incapable?
The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

ph of the system is 5.9 ec I’ve just dropped from 1.1 to 0.8, I’ve got a v20 haliea air pump for the five buckets seems to be plenty of air in the buckets so much so that it causes water to splash up under the met pots my res temps are a little high at 68f
