When I was living in Texas, you could buy the stems in the fruit and veg section. I wish they'd do it over here.

I got a pretty big aloe planted I just transplanted into a 3 gal pot. I also have 2 rosemary plants that I got from the grocery store 2 years ago that have turned into mini bushes in like 15 gal pots.
