Reblasting contaminated hash oil
Hey everyone!
So long story short was doing a bho run the other night, spraying into my pyrex. Of course on my last tube of the night I got greedy and over-packed it
Blew the rubber stopper right off the back and rained weed into about 10 grams of hash oil
YAYYYY
Anywho, still have more material to run this weekend so my question is:
Can I put my chunk of bho back in the blast tube with some trim and redissolve it?? Or should I break it up into a bunch of pieces and try and dissolve it in multiple runs?
Hopefully someone has experienced this exact situation and can help me out.
Thanks in advance!
Happy growing

Re: Reblasting contaminated hash oil
id think your best bet would be disolve it with iso , remove contam and cook off the iso ,
We can get swept away by our thoughts,,or learn to step back and see them with clarity.
Easy to forget its a choice

Re: Reblasting contaminated hash oil
That's what I was thinking. Think I could dissolve, run through a coffee filter into the pyrex and then continue spraying my other trim with butane right on top? Like dissolve it all at onceWizardsbrew wrote:id think your best bet would be disolve it with iso , remove contam and cook off the iso ,
Hopefully that makes sense

Re: Reblasting contaminated hash oil
Coffee filter yes , I’d keep the iso separate from the bho as iso takes a lot longer to cook off , I’ve never mixed the two so really not sure what results you would get from it

Re: Reblasting contaminated hash oil
Took about an hour of mixing in a glass until the hash finally dissolved again! Ffs, almost cramped my wrist up and yes that's my blender hopefully my gf doesn't find out
Letting it air purge with a fan/screen over it outside, I'll let you guys know how it smokes in a couple days! Thanks again for the help wiz

Re: Reblasting contaminated hash oil
I think dissolving the hash back in iso worked good, but it sat in the iso way too long. After drying a couple days it came out way darker than the batch ran butane. Still happy with the end product though

Re: Reblasting contaminated hash oil
Welp, not smoking that shit anymore. Took a huge dab and got the worst heartburn of my life for about 2 hours. I'm about 99% sure that there's a shitload of alcohol still in the oil somehow
It was air purged for 3 days.
Is there anyway I can make sure it's completely free of alcohol without a vac chamber?

I’ve always done a hot water bath to purge the iso outintegrajosh wrote:Welp, not smoking that shit anymore. Took a huge dab and got the worst heartburn of my life for about 2 hours. I'm about 99% sure that there's a shitload of alcohol still in the oil somehow
