So my current setup is a a growing cabinet thats just shy of 1x1x2
I have a 6" hyperfan and temp/speed controller, hooked up to a 6" carbon filter and a 4" passive intake in the bottom
This current setup is golden but I'm just finishing off a almost identical flowering cab and plan to hook them up together to try and utilise the heat from the veg cab whilst lights are off in the flower..
Lights in the veg cab are 4 vero29s with active cooling.
The flower cab is going to be 8 vero29s + 2 18w uv bulbs and active cooling again.
I kinda think I should have a 8" passive intake in the veg cab and 4-6" in the flower.. Had anyone done similar?

Re: Size of passive intake?
I think I get you but I'm high..
Soo your bathroom extractor pulls air from the bathroom into the inlet of your veg tent? And then the air is pulled out the veg tent, through the flower?
If that's right, how do you grow? I mean like media and method
I normally use a wilma 4 pot system and im worrying about the humidity from the veg combined with the flower is going to cause me issues
If it makes a difference the passive intake will be direct fresh air.. Which again I worry about if it rains whilst I'm at work or something
Currently the passive intake just draws air in from the garage
And yeah I plan on moving the carbon filter and fan other to the flowering cab when it's ready, I originally planned on vegging and flowering out in the same cabinet and knew it would be difficult to fit the carbon filter if I scrogged
This is a badly drawn current and intended setup

Re: Size of passive intake?
I've done the same thing as you above buddy. As you said humidity can be tricky. If you can manage to get the humidity in veg tent at around 50-55% which is still okay for vegging and you have powerful enough extraction you will be okay. I am currently running a 6'' L1 for extraction on 2x1x1.6 tent linked together with ducting with 0.5x1.8x1.7 Tent. Extraction fan is powerful enough to suck the ai from both tents but I am also running a dehumidifier in the flowering tent.

Re: Size of passive intake?
I think I might do the same tbh.. I mean running the dehumidifier, either that or just run them as two independent cabs
Where would be best place for a dehumidifier?

Re: Size of passive intake?
I'd get the dehumidifier in the flowering tent. Mine is on timer during the lights off period as it's 300w 10l/24 hr one and just to save some leccy.

Yeah sick, I'll probably do the same with the timer. I meant would the dehumidifier be better up high or near the floor/res

If it were me I'd put it on the floor, I'd imagine it wouldn't be doing much if you placed it up high by the exhaust. Sucking the air out before it can be dehumidified.Lukeypoo wrote:Yeah sick, I'll probably do the same with the timer. I meant would the dehumidifier be better up high or near the floor/res
