Hi guys and girls
This is one for you med users mainly but any input is welcome
I'm looking into CBD strains and was kinda wondering where is the best place to start?
I will still be growing THC canna as well so is 1:1 really worth the effort or is something closer to 0.1:7% thc:CBD going to be a better option?
The planned application would be oil or tinture but is smoking an option?
I have zero experience in this area besides high street bought CBD flower that tasted like ass when smoked
Thanks in advance

Re: CBD strains
Cannatonic by https://resinseeds.net/ is a good place to start. If you get right pheno you can hit stupid high cbd and thc 1:1 ratios

Re: CBD strains
Thanks jimmi, I'll look into that onejimmi2scoops wrote:Cannatonic by https://resinseeds.net/ is a good place to start. If you get right pheno you can hit stupid high cbd and thc 1:1 ratios
Would you say a new user would notice the difference in smoking/using a 1:1 over a normal THC strain?

Re: CBD strains
They`ll still get stoned and wont know its med strain unless you tell them, they`re just not as potent alot of the CDB med strains with THC. Tbh iv`e not grown any true med strains, i do have a pack of Cannatonic screaming at me to grow them out though.
If you wan`t a really good strain that will knock you for six and high in CBD then Seedism Kill-Watt is the one, it puts me to sleep after a good session, its not a med strain as such but is rich with thc and cbd
The one Viz mentioned at Dutch Passion i think is called skunk/haze cbd/thc 1:1 and maybe not as potent as the cannatonic.
Probably send them to land of nod after a good giggle.

Re: CBD strains
Would this be something we could mix ourself? Like if I made a indica thc oil, sativa thc oil and a CBD oil could I mixed them post production to find the balance?Viz wrote:Dutch Passion and the CBD crew have teamed up. Nice easy grow and good ratio 1:1 @ 10% (claimed)
The optimal ratio is dependant on what it is you are trying to achieve with the oil, tincture or smoke. Different things want different proportions - some conditions want only THC for example and specifically a Indica type. Others only require a Satvia THC.
Really is a case by case situation mate, no one size fits all.
Awesome. Cos moat the people I know are smokers anyway but the heavier THC seems to be having a more negative affect on daytime mental state.jimmi2scoops wrote:They`ll still get stoned and wont know its med strain unless you tell them, they`re just not as potent alot of the CDB med strains with THC. It sounds like you hit the nail on the head. I may have to try something 1:1 as well as a CBD rich strain and work my way from thereMarcus wrote:Hi GMO,
I've grown a few high CBD low THC strains, I find they give me a nice feeling of wellbeing. Perfect for daytime functional use.
I've grown 20:1 CBD:THC, they get oiled, mixed with a bit of olive oil and put into capsules for easy meds. A capsule or two in the morning and the wellbeing feeling hangs around for most of the day. Fave for that is the MMG - Candida. Not psychoactive at all for me.
My fave is Sweet n Sour Widow from CBD Crew. Tastes like play-doh. Think it is a 1:1 about 10% ish.
AND it gets me quite nicely spanked. :D
I got a purple orange CBD on the go at the moment. That's more a 2:1 CBD:THC I wanted to try it.
I always try and squeeze a small pot in the groom of a high CBD when reserves are running low.
But it's all different for each of us, so trial and error is king.
The man who never made a mistake never made anything, as the saying goes.
Good luck in the eternal hunt for the holy grail!
:D
Thanks very much for all your input people

Re: CBD strains
Okay cool
So if I look for something "rich" in CBD, a 1:1 and then stick to my normal THC grows I should have a good range to play with?
