Ok so here I am final straw to chapter 1 and the beginnings of chapter 2

As you can see in these shots the adhesive expands and seals the floor together also creating a water proof barrier

Ok so pressing on swiftly.......

Right quick cuppa joe ️ then I shall crack on

Smokes if that is a single skin wall at each end of the loft it might be an idea to insulate them. That is where the noise will escape to the neighbors loft.

Hi Kbag its certainly not single skin this has walls as thick as bank vaults lol

The plan is to insulate the loft with 75-100mm celotex and ill be using expanding foam around all the gable edges before had to trap if any smell leakage this will also serve to help maintain the right climate up there cool in the summer but warm in the winter ill be laying the celotex sideways also to create a breathing cavity between the celotex and roof lining it is going to be a long drawn out process but worth the effort in the end i hope

Cheers K

The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

Also for future reference and knowledge the gaps in these gable ends of the loft I will use 1 can per pitch of expanding foam so for 2 gables 4 sides = 4 cans this will also create an airtight seal to stop any possible smell leakage

This is still prep work before the celotex gets installed of course

Hi guys so we have some progress instead of 20 something boxes all over the place we have some progress basically 20 something empty boxes dotted all around lol

But I’m the midst of the madness we have 2 rooms up n running so far these are only being used with low watt veg bulbs at the moment as I haven’t started the insulation just yet as we have hit a wee bump in the road - Xmas finances

I will get into some details at some point to explain how o have each room running and also what the plans are going forward good news is though the hard work has paid of the grooms are running silent when I am anywhere in the house also LML has not heard me up there walking about or zipping/unzipping the rooms so far so good “Phew” last time you could hear me breathing in the loft.

Right then let’s not stand on ceremony onto some quick pics I took earlier

We are getting there slowly,as I said I will get into some details and specs on the individual rooms at some point and then I’ll put up a new Grow Room Tour Vid for you all

As always thanks for stopping by
