Need some input here from anyone. I have assembled the frame and placed the boards in the configuration that I want them to be in.

Using 18 gauge silicone wire to connect to waggo ---> to Driver.

My problem is who do you connect the wire to the two tiny connectors on the board? I would have thought just push in, but they don't stay in.

HELP
YOU NEED TO PUSH THEM IN FURTHER, THEY TAKE UP TO 8MM OF BARE WIRE

Quick question.

Driver MeanWell HLG 320H-24A Constant voltage driver voltage is set at 24V.

4 x ISH120 boards connected in parallel.

My question is what would the appropriate mA be for all 4 boards to run at max. At 70% and at 50%

My answers are 100% 11200mA or 11.2Amp - 7.84Amp and 5.6Amp respectively.

However to get anywhere close to those kinds of current draw I have increase the voltage on the Driver to above 24V?
TBH iv not used the 320h 24v, only the 240h and 120h varients
The max current for the boards is 2800mA / 2.8A so keep the voltage at 24v and dim the current down to the required level. id suggest running them in 2 rows of 2 set up parallel rather than a chain of 4 , that way you wont have a problem witht he first board getting hit with too much.

I think I have not explained very well sorry for that.

The 4 boards are not daisy chained. Each is connected to a wago independently. The waggo is connected to the driver.
ahh I see how you've done it. interesting.

I think because you are splitting the output over the 4 boards rather than chaining them in parallel, you would need a larger Voltage, maybe a 48A or 54a variant driver would do it, you re essentially splitting the output into 4 by running 4 individual boards off it.

LOL so not getting the meaning across of what I have done. Not a worry I will work it out.

Here is how I do it. Perfect apparelled circuit.

Obviously your board have different termination points and the + and - are next to each other.

Thanks for the reply. I will see how a mixture of series and parallel circuits pans out mA wise because as I said I do have a 48A driver.
ahh I see what you have done :thanks:

Looking at first grow in a 0.4m x 0.8m closet (~3 sq ft.) These LEDs look like just the thing. I’d like a light to handle veg & growth for two plants at a time. Don’t need crazy big yields.

Would an ISH 60 be good or quite underpowered?

Which color temp is best?

I heard from another member that LEDs need a little distance. Since I’m space constrained I had some extra questions:

What’s the recommended distance for veg / flower on these boards?

Is there any advantage to running a bigger board with less power when it comes to distance? For example - would a 120 board run at 60 watts let you run with less distance to canopy than a 60 board run at 60 watts?

Thanks!

Hi

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

The 60w boards you can push as close as about 15 inches in flower to the canopy when directly under the panel. I have witnessed 3.4 oz off 1 60w panel in a soil grow of 1 plant.
