Hello boys and girls. Long time no speak! Hope you are all well?
I have a bit of a situation…just received an email that Energy Performance Certification must be renewed on my property.
My tent is as per usual in the loft…
Any advice to what to expect? Never had such inspection before so need to know if they will need access to the loft?
Many thanks

Re: EPC inspection - what to expect?
Hi Bulls,
I work in the industry they will defo want to access the loft.
Normally they check the type and depth of any insulation up there as well as any walls to adjoining lofts, they will want to take photos of all that.
Depends how much of a jobsworth turns up.
Maybe if you can be at home when they come, get some pictures yourself beforehand (non tent angles :)) and with a tape measure showing depth of insulation etc, then screw it shut for the day or get someone up there to hold it closed so they physically cannot access and make up some excuse
They just want to get your property done and off to the next one so might accept your pictures?
