Happy is here

Post by Happynpc »

Hey everyone,

After lurking in the cannabis community like a ninja for what feels like forever, I've finally decided to emerge from the shadows. I've had some decent success growing plants in soil, not just cannabis but also my beloved bonsai. I'm here to share what I've picked up along the way and maybe crack a few jokes, and I'm stoked to soak up all the wisdom you've got to offer too.

Cheers

 I'm sure it weren`t aimed at you but cool man, I do remember now in the grow log with "Mr Invisible Sun" who`s been growing since 90`s and follows the science, nowt wrong with that tbh, but you only have to open your eyes and look at your plants for feedback and what they are telling you for your next move. Theirs no need for phone apps or whatever telling me what or what not to do with my plants next, each to their own though cus i know plenty online growers do use these things nowadays.

I went on their yesterday and checked out the same grows new bud pictures & i was dying to say summink but i didn't. I'm not opening my mouth to help out only to get spouted crap back. Cus those buds at 9 weeks are just like airy-fairy bottom buds you sling in concentrate tub to make goodies with. Its a real shame like cus if he cranked that light right up they may have become a bit more dense, it just seems a bit late in day for that at 9 weeks in now though although i hope I'm wrong about that for the lad. Its not the guys fault either he knows nowt, it was his first grow. 8-)

I understand you buddy. It's important to adjust how much light your plants get before they start flowering, but it sounds like he had some trouble early on. His plants were stretching away from the strong lights because they weren't trained properly.
I am also not sure if his soil had all the right nutrients either. Since it was his first time growing, he's learning as he goes. If he had increased things slowly, like by 10% each week over 10 weeks, it could have made a big difference. Everyone makes mistakes when they're starting out, but that's how we learn and get better at growing cannabis.
It must have been tough for him to go all out with the lights and face challenges, especially since it's his first grow. I imagine he was hoping to get something to smoke from it.

Yes tbh if you get owt from your first grow its a success, my first grow was with miracle grow soil and no tinternet to learn from, fucking thing got root rot and i was clueless and got naff all from it. I then met a great grower who taught me lots ,prolly most i know about growing, next grow in comparison was like night and day grown under 2 x 250watt hps street lights with built in ballast, i swear that must have been one of happiest days of my life. Bloody lucky ceiling didn't come crashing down those lights were that heavy , but man i smashed it and never looked back he put me onto coco as a grow medium too, 2nd grow was with small grojen cubes and clayballs in pots, a great hydro medium but its not coco which a magic grow medium if you ask me.

Lol Clay balls in my potting mix are like magic! Ever since I started mixing them with my soil, the results have been fantastic.

You ever tried coco, coco/clayballs or coco/perlite mix Happy or you a dirt grower of the organic kind. That coco stuff is guaranteed to put some shizz in our bizz. 8-)
