Smoke in your grow?
I don't smoke in my home for the most part. Been that way since my tobacco days. But I occasionally will burn a jay at my desk in my lung room. The air gets pulled through my tent, though a carbon filter and vented outdoors. I don't do it often enough to have a "smoke smell" to the room so that's cool. I wonder if anyone has concerns about smoke in your grow. I know one person who is crazy against it. I'm thinking...whatever? Somebody trying to pick fly shit out of the pepper? Your thoughts?

Re: Smoke in your grow?
I normally smoke out back but when I'm harvesting I smoke in tent it goes through filter and onto the loft... But I don't think it's bad I'm no scientist but last I checked smoke from fires and ash is good for plants it's part of bush life...
I the farms next to me in Tanzania we have different harvest times and we all set controlled fires to the land before setting next crop up so we blow lots of smoke to each other and no crop loss...

Re: Smoke in your grow?
When i was mostly smoking joints I always smoked in my grow room, even when i grew in my bigger room with other peeps when i was cropping, i used to have a joint in my mouth and sit with plants in that room watching them grow at feeding time for a while, sadly no more big grow rooms these days. Shit happens i suppose.

Re: Smoke in your grow?
I remember that bit of "bro" science from the 70's-80's. I believe the idea was about the plants growth would be inhibited as a reaction to their comrades death or some such bunk. My personal take is that any extra time you're in the grow space brings a bit more Co2 from your breath. Now if you were to hotbox the room on the regular without proper air extraction maybe just maybe the smoke could "dirty" the leaves lowering the light uptake a bit. But the occasional foliar spray would wash off any residue. I think it's just fine personally.

Re: Smoke in your grow?
I don't smoke tobacco but I'm still gonna limit my bong smoking and even vaping in the room with my tent now that it's indoors, only to preserve the lifespan of the carbon filter but I'm not sure how much difference it actually gonna make

Re: Smoke in your grow?
I'm also ex smoker and would chuffed away while doing groom work
I was told once that tobacco smoke could transfer tmv to ganja which I find hard to believe but if ya wanna be a purist no smoke would be better
But I like to go with what is functionally useful
