UVB Supplemental Lights
Howdy folks,
So... UVB lights, what you got? What you run? Any tips, tricks?
@Treetrunk you've got a Migro... anygood?
I'n thinking of supplementing the LED with one, but looking into it I need it to be 3 feet from the plants for them horti ones so do the little CFL types that kick out 10% UVB for reptiles work just as well as these 75% UVB and 25% UVA ones?
Thanks in advance!

Re: UVB Supplemental Lights
I run a t5 2 foot agromax pure uvb in a 5x5
They recommend it for a 2x2 so I probably should have 2
I start in late flower with on 15min.a day about 2 foot then bump it up to 2hrs by the end
Soooo some say its beneficial to up thc by 28%
( I hope it does)
I've heard the reptile ones not good enough
Agromax has a couple diff.wavelegenth bulbs also

Whatever bulb you use the fitting should be plain aluminium/metal with no coating on.

Re: UVB Supplemental Lights
Someone here I think it was @Theia recommended these
https://ghedirect.co.uk/product/solacur ... plete-kit/
I've been trying to decide whether to get them or the Migro ones, or the alternative is wait for Invisible Sun UVB LEDs which have more advanced tech now apparently

Re: UVB Supplemental Lights
I run Voost Led throughout now. For everything. They have 350-450 nm UV as standard. So it's always on.
I've gradually replaced everything for Voost, so one in the 2 x 2 for veg and two in the 2 x 4. The value for money is incredible and they are bombproof.

Re: UVB Supplemental Lights
UVB is 280 -315nm
Only needs to be run for a few hours a day last 3 weeks flower.
I'll try and have a listen later cheers.Treetrunk wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 1:59 pmhttps://youtu.be/JPsMH61onMk
Bit of info on the UVB @Marcus
From what I can find, UVB LEDs are quite expensive I found some 280 and 300 nm strips with a dozen LEDs on them, pulling about 30W... £1500!!!!!
Yup, £1500.
I think this is why LED companies sell T5s alongside the led units as it's more cost effective for everyone.
Did you buy your UVB direct from Migro @Treetrunk ? WHat were the import costs like???
