Tobacco grow
Greetings growers
I was wondering if anyone has experience in growing tobacco.
Ive got some seeds coming.
Amber leaf, Virginia and White mammoth.
I'm going to try some outdoor and another in a tent.
Do they need as much light and warmth as Cannabis and also can I take cuttings once I've grown a few?
I'll grow in Coco/hydroton with Hydrosol A and B.
Growing in the UK right next to the Irish sea so it'll either be pissing down or freezing
The tobacco I usually smoke has gone up to Β£18 for 30g so I thought a little grow made sense.
My usual brand is Manatou additive free so hopefully get a similar taste.

Re: Tobacco grow
I'm pretty sure GMO has grown and or does grow Tobacco.
Anyone that has time for drama is not gardening enough.

Re: Tobacco grow
i grew some for a couple years. grows alot like corn in my opinion. mid range feed requirements and no real training required
hardest part is getting the seeds going. start them like you would lettuce and scatter some seeds in a tub of soil and lightly dust some extra soil on top. after a few weeks prick out the larger most healthy looking seedlings and pot them into something like 9cm pots till they ready to plant out
Im on the south coast of england and mine easy hit 6-8 foot tall growing virginia gold with little to no fertilizer besides what one might already put in there garden and no special fleece or hot house cover or nothing

Re: Tobacco grow
we grew some tabbaco about 3 years ago. it grew well tbh, slow starting as GMO says but didnt have a problem getting it to go. took up more space than i thought it. we are midlands btw, only fed with liquid seaweed really, but not much of that.
hardest part was drying the stuff.

Re: Tobacco grow
We have lift off
A few little green dot's are appearing.
Sprinkled the seeds in some Coco and left em in the sun.
Been spraying weak nutrients at 6ph.
Took about a week.
