Yes ill be watching in-between WSB motorbikes and horse racing. Its just cus its a bit of history and a one off event, that many peeps will prolly never see in theirs lives. As for paying my homage and pledging my allegiance to the King when invited by the Archbishop of Canterbury that's a different story for me, cus im no bloody Royalist and i dont believe in God.
For anyone who feels the need to stand up in their living room or in pub and do this when invited too, good luck with it. Here`s how that bit is gonna go down, i copied and pasted from a news site.
During the ceremony, the Archbishop of Canterbury - leader of the Church of England - will call on “all persons of goodwill in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and of the other realms and the territories to make their homage, in heart and voice, to their undoubted King, defender of all”.
The order of service will read as follows: “All who so desire, in the Abbey, and elsewhere, say together: ‘I swear that I will pay true allegiance to Your Majesty, and to your heirs and successors according to law. So help me God.”
Sure sounds very much old school religious crap, pompous and Game of Thrones like, very much out of date. I think it would be better to drop the God part of it and i recon more in UK may do the pledge, cus no one i know believes in God these days in my neck of woods. That aside why would anyone want to do this when they dont even know him, each to their own though. For some reason i just dont think this is the Kings idea
