Re: Seedstockers - Sherbet Auto
The leaves that were yellowing look like they are just turning or getting that green back in them to my eyes, kinda how it happens so long as the yellowing leaf isn't too far gone and yellow it will green back up. I cant see owt that suggests over feeding Wu. Maybe give it another week or so on same feeds yes before dropping back them down. IMO i just think the leaves are greening back up which is sound if that's case

Re: Seedstockers - Sherbet Auto
She's certainly filling up the space in the 1.2x1.2 tent. No chance of growing two of th3se monsters in there.
I've noticed more yellowing though.

Re: Seedstockers - Sherbet Auto
If its yellowing like it did last time and upping ferts stopped that id be tempted to same again, but what with you saying it was looking overfed other day, well fuck knows tbh. Its sure a monster in that 1.2 tent and will need plenty of feed.

Re: Seedstockers - Sherbet Auto
Yeah I might keep it at 4ml, at least for another tankfill of 47l then start to drop it. Let's hope it doesn't stall now!2-Scoops wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13, 2023 10:56 amIf its yellowing like it did last time and upping ferts stopped that id be tempted to same again, but what with you saying it was looking overfed other day, well fuck knows tbh. Re: Seedstockers - Sherbet Auto
Seems to be yellowing more. I think the same position as I was in with the Rucu cucu. Now I don't know whether she's really hungry and I need to keep at 4/4.2ml/l or drop it. I haven't seen any nutrient burn.
But either I lower the doses and it goes even more yellow..
Or increase it and keep it somewhat stable? Confusing.
Next tank I fill I'll only put in 20l.
I'll check ph and ec in the res today.

If it slowed down and stopped when you upped it last time then go with upping the big fucker Wu.

Re: Seedstockers - Sherbet Auto
Yeah I think I'll do a batch of 20l and then use ec pen to ensure I'm using the heavy feed calc on canna to get it to where I need to be. I think it's 4.2ml/l. I can't see any burnt tips or anything like that. When some of the top leaves went glossy I thought yeah maybe there's too much N so thought I was overfeeding etc. But she just seems hungry and hungry and hungry

Re: Seedstockers - Sherbet Auto
Tbh Wu although I've fed heavily a few or more times when im faffing trying different things i always tend to go back to my usual way after ive had a good faff around and that never changes, its usually best way you learn early on and firstly before that faffing starts lol.
But I've never known a plant look hungry on 1.2/4ec or around 3-3.5ml of A&B i think like for like roughly, even when I've helped others out or given advice in past id say go with 2ml of A&B and up it to 3ml first 4 weeks of bloom before dropping back with no problems, but yes as said I've never noticed plants look underfed with those doses or i can`t say i remember any. I've even grown monster plants on summink like that dose, no problemo, but It makes me think its possibly 1 of 2 things which maybe causes it these days. Summink like fert makers watering it down even more, but numbers on bottle are exact same, so its not that, then im thinking summink @duke mentioned and noticed with his grows in his thread to me a few weeks or so back that he can feed more ferts than ever and that it maybe these new age strains being greedy fuckers that are coming out all time.
So i would prolly look at getting a new ec pen and going with 1.0-1.2 in veg and 1.4-1.6 in bloom, it just simplifies things.

Re: Seedstockers - Sherbet Auto
Yeah sod it. I've just taken out the old tank and done this lol.
85ml of a and b
25ml of buddy
15ml bullets
The bucket is 20l, but it fills up slightly more. This is the highest I've been.
Got a shitty ec pen which I gave up on. So going to get a bluelab meter or essentials ec pen.
I saw more yellowing dying leaves at the bottom of the plant just now, so we'll see how this new batch of food holds up. She is a monster of a plant..but never knew that even though there's more quantity of liquid altogether that the ferts would also need to be higher ..I.e. if she's hungry she's not just going to continuously uptake more if fert strengths are low to make up for th3 food. I guess I need to be educated how plants in general work.
If I see burning in a few days I know why. So at least I'll know whether I've hit the ceiling.
I think that other factors like the clay pebbles may still be an issue, so next time I'll layer 2inches at least and maybe aerate the coco/get a coco mix.
Thanks scoops

Re: Seedstockers - Sherbet Auto
Yellowing down down bottom isn't usually a sign of under feeding which tends to yellow up tops firstly. I think down low shit yellowing up just happens sometimes when they seeing little light down their a lot of the time.
Downside of auto-pots is that its very hard to do the "if in doubt flush it out" with pot of coco to wash away old salts and then starting ferts back up which tends to sort lots of problems out, basically simply by resetting your medium to more or less inert so its got very little fert salts in. The system also makes it hard to check run off if you run in to problems to help get to bottom of it. im more on about hydro typo grow mediums here than soil though. In an deal world if i was flumaxed a bit like i am here i would just do this and 9/10 of time jobs a good en. I suppose its why i like run to waste bottom feeding can be a little trickier.
Your prolly feeding at least 2.0ec atmo but if you dipped your pot you can bet your bottom dollar its running summink much higher. I recon your medium is gonna be well stocked up on ferts cus plant only uses what it wants as and when needs be. Plants are their greediest first 4 to 5 weeks of bloom, when you flip to 12/12 is usually a good time to up them before you start tapering or dropping them back down. They start taking up less and less as the grow goes on basically when they're in bloom. Think of it a bit like your feeding medium which in turn feeds plants. Hard water doesn't help with uptake.wutang wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 3:30 pmI saw more yellowing dying leaves at the bottom of the plant just now, so we'll see how this new batch of food holds up.
