What stone is this please

Hey buddies really random this I go for walks and like to pick stones that I'm attracted to and later on marry lol
I'm joking I like to play with stones and dremmel and one day I picked this odd looking stone and decided to check what it's like inside just a peek so I took little skin off and was gob smacked looks like steel but its not magnetic just odd looking one and can't seem to find what stone resembles it ....

So please after reading all this crap are you good with stones ? Image are you familiar with this and I could chop it in half for better look if you'd like

could be a high tin content perhaps, guess it depends what the make up of the land/rock near you is like.

I like it it’s strange I’m a bit of a stone thief and have picked up loads of fossils from a place we visit often go for the chop lol

Hey Dex
It looks like Ferricrete.
Sand and gravel turned to hard mass by Iron Dioxide.
Very sought after by Neolithic people for tools and sharpening.
If you find any that's been used for above purposes it's worth some serious money.

It's basically clay around me I live in North East Coast buddy no rocks around us resemble this especially not at the beach I tried looking for one similar for past year and haven't found any that resemble it we have lots of quartz types of stones on the beach

Deffo gonna chop Mrs B its really really cool looking thing I've had it for a while and been trying to figure it out lol I have the knack for picking weird stones lol

I'll Google that name buddy and see what I find at forst I actually thought its fishing weight that's fossilised lol, I wouldn't sell if I found a thing like that buddy I'd keep it for me lmao and kids course ...

Thanks for the reply guys I'll get it chopped to see through it properly and I'll try quickly polish the chopped piece so it's a clean pic and maybe might help lol .
