Is this plant seeded?

Post by Keeno »

Wassup GR420,

I've got 1 plant that looks seeded. What's strange about it is its the only plant that looks seeded. Its at the back of the room, any pollen would have had to travel over other plants and the plants in front seem fine.

To me it looks seeded, but I've never had a full seeded plant before. So am wondering if its just swollen calyx's or some other type of mutation.

Here's the plant:

Here's the plants in front of it:

Not a brown pistil in sight on the plants around it. Also strangely its the higher buds. So pollen could have dropped on them, if they've been pollinated it must have been one of the males I culled, the pollen then going through the fans and over the plants in front and around the plant in the above pictures.

Either way I'm jot fussed as it's going to oil. Just never seen a seeded plant or mutation like this

You forgot to mention how long you’ve been flowering these, which I believe is about four weeks given our discussions prior…

I think you’ve got a Herm. I’ve got plenty of experience with those as of late. Never saw any man bits, but they are there somewhere. You know what captain says about four weeks and brown pistils.

Then again, maybe it was one of those magical males you had to cull.

Keep an eye on those other plants.

BTW I just saw my cat scratching his chin… I don’t see any fleas on him… Do you?

Week 5 today.

Wouldn't be hard to miss a pollen sack in amongst that lot I suppose. The males were in this room for 2 weeks while I was making sure they were indeed males. But still in veg and all only just showing male. Real strange.

Ad you say about captains saying, it all makes sense. Brown pistils, week 5, strange swollen calaxys. The irony is I was going to hit this lot with pollen but decided not yo at the last minute. If it is seeded I may be producing seeds by the thousand with this lot being so big 😅. Wint be fine separating it all.

Is it by chance a sativa or sat dom? Take a pair of tweezers and squeeze a calyx if she's just full of resin it's likely just swollen and close to ready to harvest. It's kinda strain dependent, can also happen with too close to the light.

I popped a few off this morning, tbh still can't tell. They are not solid in any way and when I pop them apart there are layers similar to calyx, they taste dam good though :barmy:. I do reckon seeded though. Upon looking in the small tent there are a couple of brown pistils on the Shartdawg that are still in veg. There is no way the filtered air from the main room can get to this tent. So it's definitely looking like one of the smiley's males dropped pollen in veg in that tent. All good though, even if all plants are affected it's 3 crosses to play with moving forward. I'll update as they progress, never seen a fully seeded plant so this will be interesting. Ive cloned most of the plants in this room so I can go again.
