i also won a mitchell match reel in 1980.....biggest fish of the year i caught !!!! carp i mean now tho .....it took me an hour to land the bugger.....

ive never tried carp fishing really want to give it a go though, dont mind beach casting in the summer but i love going to the river throwing the line in and sitting on the bank :)
all the years ive been fishing the rivers ive never caught a sewin (sea trout) thats the aim for when i can get out next.
