fuking hooks 59 pence each nowadays fuk me like........give me a bag of barbed @ 5p each,rip the fukas out the pond see.... :laugh:

yea its crazy the price of gear now a days ,, thats why id like to start tieing my own flies and start using a fly rod to catch the jacks,, i do like a good challange
and i do tend to catch much bigger jacks when ice fishing as i dont own a boat for summer so im just on the shore line

i tied flies for a living back 30 years ago bach.........i`d sell them on to tackle shops 100 per week....

thats cool , my old man used to tie his own and he also made a few rods ,,, id love to be able to make money from home like that , just hard to get things done with lil one around all the time , she at the age where she like to grab everything

my favorite fly was the baby doll ....i slammed many a trout on the bugger.....on the fkloating line.....on the sinker i loved the black + peacock nymph ....banging fly bach.... i used to tie 4 hours a day everyday for a shop ..... then my eyes got fuked i give it up.....

i also won a mitchell match reel in 1980.....biggest fish of the year i caught !!!! carp i mean now tho .....it took me an hour to land the bugger.....

ive never tried carp fishing really want to give it a go though, dont mind beach casting in the summer but i love going to the river throwing the line in and sitting on the bank :)
all the years ive been fishing the rivers ive never caught a sewin (sea trout) thats the aim for when i can get out next.
