@Jamie182861 I agree the @2-Scoops that the flexi mat probably isnt the best option. Just a garland tray for the plants to sit on, on little risers and a car washing sponge and a bucket will see you well for dealing with run off
Yeah not going to bother geting that don’t want waste money

Thats the ticket. some other things to learn about are-

Topping
Supercropping
Screen of green(scrog)
Sea of green(sog)
Those are the things to learn next that will help you

Monster cropping(dont worry too much about this one just yet but handy to know still)
░█▒█▒▄▀▄░█▀▄░▄▀▄▒█▀▄
░▀▄▀░█▀█▒█▄▀░▀▄▀░█▀▄

Drugs and Alcohol are never the answer! Unless the question was “what am I doing tonight”.

Another thing to think about is defoliation, its a bit of a subject that though, some people will tell you not to take fan leafs off, others will tell you take off what you want in veg.

Im on the side of the fence that says take it off, in my eyes taking off all the big fan leafs in veg lets in light and encourages growth from nodes that would normally struggle on an indoor grow.

Im not gonna tell you what to do though mate, its your grow you need to decide how you want to grow them, lots of methods to think about but you might find some things work better for your situation than others, its all about trying different things and seeing what works for you.

Nearly forgot another couple of things for you to look at.
Topping
Fim(fuck i missed)

Yeah you just need to be reading as much as you can at this point, use the search bar at the top of the forum and youll find lots of information.
Also check out peoples grow diaries and youll see how other people are doing it.
Theres no right or wrong ways, its just down to personal preference and what works best for you.

Yeah the sooner you start training the better, when the plants are young the main stem is much more flexible so easier to work with, as they get thicker they get harder to bend without breaking so be careful with her
If you get a split stem or something dont panic it can be sort of fixed, happens all the time you just need to find a way of supporting it

You can mix different methods together, so you could top the main plant at the 5th or 6th node, that will encourage the plant to stay short and give you lots of growth from down below. You can the use lst to train those branches where you want them to go. Some people use wire, others use scrog nets for training and your basically just spreading the plant out to a uniform height.
When you have nodes that you want to slow down then you can use supercropping, itll cause it to slow but also help create monster buds in that cola.

Like i mentioned sometimes a branch is too thick and you cant bend it without snapping it, now im going to tell you this but be warned you have to be careful you can easily fuck it right up, but if you crush the stem it makes it easier to bend, start off with a little squeeze with your finger tips and it should go flexible, if not squeeze harder. If its a thick stem pliers can be used but like i said be very careful, your not trying to cut through the branch, just crushing the fibres to make it flexible, when it recovers itll have a big knuckle there
