sodding disaster!

i was using my diy condenser still today to make my tinas meds and the final concentrate was all in the last 1ltr jar i picked it up and the whole b"stard bottom fell off the damn jar landing the whole run on the floor and all over the freshly painted wall,about 6 oz wasted.gutted aint the word im mortified tbh and for the life of me i cant figure out why it happened
life sucks today.
looks like my stash is going for oil........ bumholes.

Was it a kilner type jar? I've had a bottom or two blow out in the pressure cooker. Chinese made shite they are now.

hi marcus yes kilner screwtop 1ltr preserve jar,i been using them a few years now and only fault is the seal on lids wears out after a dozen or so uses this was not coldshocked or damaged ,fecking chinky shite aye? i thought them uk made?terrible timing.cheers

Not good, mate! I've lost a big amount once when I dropped the jar full of ISO extraction. Sucks !

That is a bummer , sounds like the jars had a heat or cold fracture, ie going from hot to cold or cold to hot too quickly, as Marcus said they probably arnt as solid as they used to be.
