Re: New grower
Ah do you know what ive just realised something, in one of your first posts you said canna provisional, what you have is canna terra professional
Basically youve got 4 in coco and 1 in soil. Thats a bit of a gamechanger.
What ive showed you so far is mainly for coco, for the canna terra you might want to mix up a seperate nutrient solution with a slighly different ph
See how in the chart soil doesnt need to be as low(acidic) as in hyroponics or in your case coco, also you dont need to pour as much feed in with soilthats the only difference.
To recap
Soil - slightly higher ph, less nutrient solution each feed, watering schedule should be feed then water then feed then water then feed
Coco- slightly lower ph, more nutrient solution each feed, watering schedule should be feed feed feed feed feed feed feed

Notice soil make plant bigger than the rest that be why got about 5 bags off that soil left

Re: New grower
No the other way
Coco- more feed more often, never give them plain water
Soil- feed once, let it dry out some then water with plain ph’d water, then when it dries out some feed, then again with the water, feed, water, feed like that

Re: New grower
These are great little climate controller and are sold at a real fair price. They use smart digi tech so its a nice smooth transition from low to high and vice versa with fans instead of one big jump. Summink I've use lots in past and prolly will again when i set up another grow room. I really rate this bit of kit for smaller grow rooms. Don't knock them about too much the chip is easy fucked up, summink I've found more than once and the only bad bit of ju-ju i have about this bit of kit.
With your ducting try to keep least bends as possible in it so fans aren't working so hard and less noise, more so if fans pulling through air.

Re: New grower
Yes Vador if your mixing up a big barrel to last a few or more days vinegar is a waste of time and you`ll need to ph your mix every feed cus vinegar doesn't hold like phosphoric acid (growth technology) I mix a few weeks worth and once its done its done and doesn't need touching again with this stuff.Vador wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 12:18 pmYeah you can use vinegar, ive never used it long term so dont know if theres anything you should look out for.
Depends how much solution your trying to mix up, to give you some perspective 1-2l of nutrient solution im dripping ph down in 1 or 2 drips at a time then giving it a good mix before testing again with ph pen and making changes if necessary.
25l of nutrient solution takes about 10ml of ph down. You might find vinegar to be a little different but just got to start small with a known measurement for example get 5ml in a pipette and drip it in slowly till you get the desired ph, if your left with 1ml of ph down in the pipette you know itll take roughly 4ml of ph down for that size container so itll speed things up next time.
If you put too much in and the ph is too low dont panic, use either ph up from the grow shop or my favourite baking powder to neutralise it and start making it more alkaline

Re: New grower
If using vinegar dont ph the whole drum just ph your bucket full from that drum daily to use, cus as said vinegar wont hold ph long and you`ll be slinging in shed loads each feed into a big tank.Jamie182861 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 5:30 pm2-Scoops wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 5:27 pmYes Vador if your mixing up a big barrel to last a few or more days vinegar is a waste of time and you`ll need to ph your mix every feed cus vinegar doesn't hold like phosphoric acid (growth technology) I mix a few weeks worth and once its done its done and doesn't need touching again with this stuff.Vador wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 12:18 pmYeah you can use vinegar, ive never used it long term so dont know if theres anything you should look out for.

Re: New grower
look for growth technology ph down if your doing big barrels and you want it to hold steady for a week or so.Jamie182861 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 5:30 pm2-Scoops wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 5:27 pmYes Vador if your mixing up a big barrel to last a few or more days vinegar is a waste of time and you`ll need to ph your mix every feed cus vinegar doesn't hold like phosphoric acid (growth technology) I mix a few weeks worth and once its done its done and doesn't need touching again with this stuff.Vador wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 12:18 pmYeah you can use vinegar, ive never used it long term so dont know if theres anything you should look out for.
