Optimal ppf or Lux readings in flower?

Post by Tom1974 »

Whaasup guys just downloaded the Telos app for my 10 pro mesh lights and seen I can have full control over setting the ppf

I’m week six of flower and currently they are giving readings of 51,000 on the Lux meter but getting the old bleached head

What would you say to aim for becaus the charts I’m seeing online would be clearly too powerful still

Thanks

300 - 500 ppfd in veg.
600-900 ppfd in flower

Measuring in lux is pointless

:i agree:

Lux is for humans to gauge how bright their lights are, PPFD is the amount of light that is usable by a plant for photosynthesis.

Plant's eat light.

Bats can also hear shapes.

My lights have a Bluetooth app that enable you to control output for each unit but I have no idea what numbers to put in at this stage or any for that matter (pic below) don’t want to light burn or bleach and rough distance to canopy is 60cm
Cheers

I have the telos 6 pro mesh so I get what you mean with the app 😂

Are you on android or iPhone as there been an update to the app where the grow room section open.

That but you set your tent size and what your walls are white or silver and based on that tells you base on what umol/s you set your par map for your tent 🤘🤘🤘

Android updates out the iPhone update on 14th sep

With the lux to ppfd I use a uni-t and x number by 0.017 to get rough ppfd/par and 1000 ppfd is 58,824 lux

If they bleaching just turn it down alittle or raise your light a little bit 600 ppfd is around 36k. 750 is 44K odd. And 900 is 53K

Will take pic of my spready as I’m data driven grower

I join Sir Scrogalot.
It should be at least 500 ppfd in flower.
You can also go up to 1100 ppfd in flower, the plants won't be as nice anymore, but your yield will increase. However, your gram per watt yield will go down, because yield doesn't increase proportionally to performance :)

I think he`s saying >> more light = more bud Tom in layman's terms , which is my old school train of thought, tbh i dont give a rats ass about different terms used for lighting im clueless with most of it, but im a heck of long time into growing, maybe im ignorant :running-around: but i want more stinky bud at end of shift and if that means odd bit of bleaching on a bud or two or a few fucked up looking leaves ill go with that. I`m none too bothered about a gram per watt of electric used either, its kinda a deceiving term used tbf, me wonders how many of the gram a watter types have grown 20oz+ monsters indoors. All i wanna know is how much bud I've got in my jars at end of shift and more light generally means more buddage. Not helpful for your question i know but just a pointer saying generally less light will give you less bud basically. :nice:
