Change light, final few weeks?

Temperatures outdoors here have gone silly at the moment

I have my led on 75% intensity

Hps on 600w

Turned the HPS down to 400w and the tent was still very hot, turned it down to 250w now which is very dull and the tent is now 27 degrees which I am happy with

I have turned the extraction fan up from 25% to 75% and it is only bringing the temp down by a degree or two, not going any higher as noise then becomes an issue

What I’m thinking is- Should I swap the HPS out for another led that I can get my hands on for the final 21 days?

Is this stage of flower where they can have one final push for end yield?

My first grow this so hoping you guys can shed some light for me (excuse the pun lol)

That should be fine mate. You won't be far behind in raw power as the 600w using that and you will reduce the heat by about 25%

That’s it mate all I’m worried about is losing so much light at this stage due to heat problems when I could stick an led in at 75% which should be much better than running this hps now at 250w?

Those LEDs will run about 50% cooler than a 600w HPS when both at full power. So running the LED at full power will be about the same as running the 600w at 250w. Get rid of the HPS :)

If heat is still an issue after changing the lights try running the drivers outside the grow space. Makes a big difference.

Hey buddy, if by drivers you mean what I know them as “Ballasts?” Then yeah I already have them outside of the tent itself as they get red hot don’t they
As for the led unit, that side of the electrics throws off zero heat and is built into the light itself so can’t stick that outside
