Thats some next level stoner thinking. Fair play Flip.flip wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2022 5:52 pmI intake warm air from my laundry room (where the tumble dryer is, which kicks out a load of heat).
I then run a long exhaust that I coil around the tent, over which i place blankets, insulation and duvets, which acts to retain a lot of the warmth.
Double re-use of heat!

Re: Energy Saving Ideas When Growing
One of the biggest consumers of electric in my groom at the moment is the dehumidifier, also it’s very noisy.
I’m wondering would it be possible to open it up and disconnect the fan. Then make a manifold on the exhaust of the dehumidifier and connect it to the passive inlet on the groom via some ducting.
It should make it quieter and also reduce the running cost a little, I’m just worried about burning the house down lol

As GMO mentioned earlier. Dimming and moving your lights closer is a great way to make a saving in veg. 16 hours a day at 50w at 10 inches is better than 150w at 30 inches
In flower similar can be achieved as has been proven by keeno an his 300w X Bar yields , you can yield well under low wattages easier than you can yield monsters under high wattages

If you have 1 f bar in a 2x4 - 12 inches on full power will give you the par ratings below
When using 2 fixtures the overlap of light will require you to move the 2 fixtures further away to roughly 22 inches to keep the intensity correct. At this point if you dimmed by 75 % you could easily get to 15 inches from canopy with 2 fixtures , or 50% and 12 inches

Re: Energy Saving Ideas When Growing
Nice tip, I’ve just turned mine down to 50% @ roughly 6 inches from the tallest cola, only got two weeks till harvest though so probably not going to see much difference except for savings in electric.Invisible Sun wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2022 6:14 pmAs GMO mentioned earlier. Got the smart controller at 13 minutes sunset/ sunrise, been adding a couple of minutes a day and also taking away a couple of minutes a day from lights out time, trying to replicate the end of summer, fading it in over the next two weeks.
Loving this system
