Leaf Damage / another day in the ghetto

Post by CDX101 »

remember that time that my plants were awesome?.. lasted around a month then BOOOM more problems :distraught:

anyways

plants are currently mid flower,

Humidity : Too high (working on it / waiting for better dehumidifier to arrive)

Temp Day/Night (25/21)

PH: around 6.5

Roots: seem healthy no nasty smells or dirty runoff

Nutrients + dosages: Monkey Nutrients (Bloom a+b 4.5ml per litre, calmag 2ml per litre, Boost 2ml per litre.).

so these plants have been moderately tame recently, no major issues until 2 days ago (excluding swapping ligths and timer messing up previously).

some leafs here and there have developed a random spot but havent gotten any worse.
Image

leafs on 1 plants have started to curl upwards and burn(ish) looking tips
Image

damage to a few leaf
Image

majority of this damage is on 1-2 plants out of 6

anyone got any ideas on what could be causing this? wind burn/light burn possibly? had a look at the deficienys page and a few things look possible so have adjusted fans etc but will await the knowledge of you guys incase im missing the obvious, being moderately new to this im kinda prone to go over the top and change a load of stuff trying to fix a problem without properly diagnosing it to begin with :dazed:

By your nutes I'm guessing you're in coco, isn't that kinda high ph for coco if that's the case.

it is slightly high i prefer to keep it to around 5.5-6, i tested the soil last night and it was sitting around 6.5 which is above normal for them, will be feeeding them today (every 2nd day i feed them), and get it it brought back down, doing major long shifts at work (mechanics), thought i would throw all the needed info into the post to save time and yet i managed to completely forget media type (cant change it now for some reason) :strangling:

What EC does all that come to?

My soil grow is about 7.5 at mo and they look a little like this. You may be onto something there.

Too much food would be my guess. You don't need all that calmag if you're hard water. Flush it through with a lower EC.

I`m presuming your in a softwater area looking at doses being fed. But i think these ferts are a bit like hesi, part bio and part mineral base. But it sure seems alot to be feeding at this time. TBH i think these Monkey ferts look a bit wanky, they dont even have npk value on bottle or any other info like what bottle contains do they ? Well when i looked they didn't and i couldn't find any, maybe i should look harder. Possibly look at getting some true coco mineral base ferts like Canna, vitalink or Growers Ark next time and their will be no need for adding extra calmag. Plant starts to taper of feeding towards back end of a grow so you dont really need to be upping ferts at this time, quite the opposite and lowering doses a wee bit is way to go from mid to late grow, but sure seems like it could be early over-ferting woes and ways, I'd prolly run pots through with a good bit of water and calmag solution and then lower my base fert doses
