Sadly, THC was one of the substances found in patients with E-cigarette or Vaping Use-Associated Lung Injury (EVALI), but research is inconclusive, so it's possible those patients were vaping e-liquids as well as THC. I have been vaping pure, homegrown bud or rosin almost daily since I gave up smoking more than 20 years ago and don't suffer from any of those symptoms. I've had occasional three week to six month tolerance breaks, but didn't notice any major changes in lung function. I will continue to vape for as long as I feel healthy, because I enjoy it so much. Edibles are nice too, but different effects, less controllable and the instant hit and flavour of vaping tasty bud is hard to beat.

The video mentions THC in general, not just specifically carts I don't think. They tested people with EVALI and found THC present in some cases, but difficult to pinpoint one specific method of consumption being the main cause, I would imagine.

Not sure what they use to mix the THC concentrate with to make them but from i can gather you need to dissolve the THC concentrate into another liquid or substance for you to be able to vape it in a pen vape

Had a couple of them mate Shatter pens they were called from spain had a gorilla glue and orange some think

I believe it's either PEG or terpenes added, or some are pure, uncut oil, like HighKind CBD, which are very tasty and nice. They may have to winterize it to remove the waxes/lipids. I tried making my own 510 carts with rosin and terpenes, but they soon turned dark brown, clogged up and tasted nasty, probably because I didn't winterize.

No worries. It's basically lowering the temperature, so the solids separate and are easier to remove, like extra virgin olive oil when it gets cold.
