Does it never smell?? And what about in the summer do you get many flys?
I only ask cos we get loads of flies without the worm bin indoors, just a little pot of food scraps on the side is enough in our house.

I really want to have another go at organic but just can’t afford to take the hit on yield, as it is I can just about keep myself going when I’m in full swing, mind you that was before my upgrade I suppose, got more space now and more watts so might be presently surprised.
Organic growing has changed so much since I tried it in the pollytunnel, lots more stuff at your disposal these days.
No smell or flies unless over feeding or not burying the foods enough in the bedding/vermicast

If ya add too much food it can heat up causing a smell same as if you have too much wet material it can get anaerobic and smell. But when everything is in line it should smell like fresh forest

My worm bins are next to my bed and have no noticable bad smell

translated from the bongo of the canna jungle
Your right it’s a fine art keeping the worm bin balanced, I’ve overfed mine before and it stinks.
We was at the point we could put all our scraps in each week and by the time the tray came round again it was just soil and the odd bit of egg shell, a tray went bad though and upset the whole thing. I’ve had to stop feeding and let it recover, haven’t put anything in for a while now and it’s a lot better, the worm population took a hit mind.
They are living in the greenhouse at the moment but as soon as it starts warming up again I’ll get them out into the garden and start feeding again slowly.
just for my house food waste i have 4 storage tubs, 1 stacking system and a small single tub. i make about 5-10l of green waste a week and try split it between all the bins but once a month i have to put my food waste in my outdoor compost cos the worms struggle to keep up tbh. Im building a type of mini johnson-su bio reactor but out of just an 80l dust bin. should help process my excess waste quicker

Thanks dude. 👍 Nice one.

She has started showing just a couple of ginger pistils alread6 and half way through the 8 week flowering with this strain.

I wacked the light up too early 🌞 ☀️ got too hot n dry so turned down which would have triggered a more autumnal period.

Hope all will be good.

1st grow in the soil though. I've found the 2nd can be better.

Not looking too bad. I have added a little compost mixed with a light amendment mix. Later on tonight I plan on topping off with a kelp and a little gypsum.

Lovely jubbly.

.....oh and also added in some alfalfa for a mulch layer. I will get some hay on top of that soon, this sill aid watering, especially as she gets more thirsty through late flowering.
