I bet you I could find some 🪰 flies to go in it, I got a few alreadyGMO wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 2:46 pmNo smell or flies unless over feeding or not burying the foods enough in the bedding/vermicastVador wrote:Oh really @GMO, my misses would kill me if I did that haha.
Does it never smell?? And what about in the summer do you get many flys?
I only ask cos we get loads of flies without the worm bin indoors, just a little pot of food scraps on the side is enough in our house.
I really want to have another go at organic but just can’t afford to take the hit on yield, as it is I can just about keep myself going when I’m in full swing, mind you that was before my upgrade I suppose, got more space now and more watts so might be presently surprised.
Organic growing has changed so much since I tried it in the pollytunnel, lots more stuff at your disposal these days.
If ya add too much food it can heat up causing a smell same as if you have too much wet material it can get anaerobic and smell. But when everything is in line it should smell like fresh forest
My worm bins are next to my bed and have no noticable bad smell

@MafooFarms thank you for your kind words.MafooFarms wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 3:59 pmRik reading this put a smile on my face
I find your ambition and capability impressive
Kudos to trying to collect and apply IMO. I assume you have seen Chris Trump’s instructions about that?
Also probably wouldnt be a bad idea to incorporate some chunky charcoal to serve as microbe apartments in your soil. Brew up some LAB, get your hand on EM1, or dynomyco for that matter.
Rhizophagy ftw. And that light looks a damn treat
Beautiful work here![]()
I do have a high determination so don't like to give up. Has got me in trouble before mind.....
I have done years of research before I even started growing lol, so I suppose its all paying off now.
Yeah I've watched a lot of Chris Trumps stuff. What he has done is pretty impressive. I have an OHN, all that vodka and I'm a non drinker lol, so at least it went one direction only.
I use that every few weeks to keep bad microbes etc.....
IMO I've not done yet so all open ears for any tips man......
It's a beautiful plant to be honest, I like it, she looks amazing and yes the light is gangster as keeno says haha.

I've not done any IMO collection so can’t share any advice. Maybe make a few boxes to try simultaneously so you stand a better chance of capturing a good lot.
Someday would like to brew some of his liquid supplements myself.

@DIY.Rik Love that you're doing organic as it is the only way to go.
I think you get better smoke and taste that way.
Plants look to be in great shape.
Keep on keeping on my friend.

Quick update out the blue, mid week. Looking OK overall, but a few yellowing leaves and canoed leaves so turned down the light, then noticed how dry it was
Drip tray got a load of water and a drench in the pot with some amino
