Mainline training

So I’ve see a few articles on this topic , it’s kinda like lst but makes the plant grow like a scrog without net , seems like a lot of work tho ,,

Wondering if anybody has tryed this method in the past ?

I’ve mainlined a few times but wouldn’t bother again. It does work but it’s a little longer veg time for no increase in yield.

My last grow I actually moved from 15litre pots down to 10litre
I topped the plants once and left them be. I feel light penetration is better when the plant is left to grow naturally. Just my opinion though :)

i do like how it looks , seems as though the scrog method replaced mainline training

It’s slighly different to scrogging, as you mainlining your single bud heads that you end up with, so that pic you’ve posted would only end up with 10 buds, where as a scrog, trained exactly like your pic would have many heads growing in the central area too where light is now penetrating and the growth hasn’t been cut out, you end up focusing all your growth into the specific amount of buds you’ve left to grow with mainlining
Also still ends up a tree, just with long ass buds, takes it further away from being like a scrog, And doesn’t actually mean long time vegging as your choice bud areas are there very aquickly to a size you want
