What you sorry for :idn:

Always appreciate help or input from anyone.

Everyone is always welcome here 😊

I wonder if I keep putting too much microbes in there.

I used to have a different method but it didnt work one time and changed it.
I dunno 😂😂😂 I hadn't been awake long when I replied there hahaha

I don't see the microbes helping really. In the soil itself sure, but not for germinating. Just room temp dechlorinated tap water should do the trick. Too warm and they'll turn to mush, too cold and they'll think it's winter still.
I did hear that seeds have there own fungi in the actual seed that can stay dormant for a long time, which is how they germinate apparently. Its not an area I have researched or delved into as of yet though.

I used to soak in a weak kelp solution which I had rapid growth a few times doing it that way.

With organics I thought that a symbiotic relationship with microbes was a good thing from day one, in fact, in any growing it can assist in the plants early immune system development.
I think you might be right there but the relationship is best suited when it's in the ground as opposed to soaking in water. Remember... Microbes break down the organic matter to feed the plant. In a jar of water, the seed IS the organic matter.

I think seaweed is the hormones that it contains is what's helping but could be talking out my arse on that one lol

That's exactly what I'm trying to replicate in my mind though, what happens in the ground in the forest, or jungle 😁 lol

A 75ltr pot seems massive for an indoor grow. So what with it being organic and more slow release than synthetic ferts, will this just need water only throughout the whole grow ? Cheers Rik.
The larger your pot size is the more able to sustain itself the ecosystem you're setting up will be. I've a customer running 50s and now he's done a few runs he's amending one US cup per cycle. Approximately 75 pence in amendments per run of tomatoes. I do see people putting more plants in large pots too. The longer you run these pots the better they get.

Sorry mate. I thought you'd said you were struggling to germinate seeds. Just trying to help.

Using microbes at the seed stage doesn't increase the speed of germination, what it does do is 'infect' the seed at the earliest possible opportunity meaning that as soon as that root is out they can get to work. Personally I prefer to plant everything straight into soil once coated.

This in turn ro me though means you'd get healthier, more rapid growth the sooner the relationship with the roots established. If you established it let's say 2 weeks after you would get a slight stall in growth while the roots adapted.

St least I finally got something growing in there.

You've got to remember though... In the jungle, there's no one putting seeds in a cup of water. That's why I always soak in plain water to kick-start the process, then stick em in the ground like mother nature intended 😉
