Fast flowering plants and energy prices.
Just had a jolt from our energy supplier.
Direct debit going up by £100 a month.
The total is now £265 a month
It's a four bedroom house not an hotel.
God help the needy if we have a hard winter.
Anyway before I get into a political rant I'll get to the point.
Have rising energy prices made you think twice about that 16 week haze strain you've got?
It certainly has me.

It makes me think:
Where and how can I be more efficient and effective and growing in the right conditions.
I currently have all family members saving any insulation from food mail order. Like polystyrene and some bags with recycled wool type stuff in..I am lining my walls with that stuff before panelling over.
I just think how can I change things without changing what or how I grow.

Re: Fast flowering plants and energy prices.
Get an EC fan if you haven't already, it'll save you a few pence in the long run. Unlike ac fans when you dim an ec fan it'll use less electricity....
Every little helps

Re: Fast flowering plants and energy prices.
Yeah you can't dim a ac fan down anyway?
I always try and make sure I get one that can be lowered down.
I am also looking into a home made "heat exchanger"
So I buffer air going out of my main groom then feed warm air back in (when it's needed in winter)

Re: Fast flowering plants and energy prices.
I don't need heater's even in winter.
I grow in a spare room that holds temperature pretty good.
Luckily most of my next grows are 8 weeks or less. Big Bud,Black Domina and Kritika K.
My income is limited as I had to retire early due to health and every penny counts.
I'll save the haze for my outdoor project in the summer. If we get one.

Re: Fast flowering plants and energy prices.
By dimming an ac fan i mean controlling the fan speed with either step or resistor control.

Top piece of kit.
That or something similar is on my Christmas list
Growing still cheaper and better quality than buying. I should stop moaning. But I won't
