I have a water tank in the loft that feeds the hot water tank so the boiler can heat it up and it also feeds the bathroom cold taps which is why we never drink water from the bathroom.
Is this water ok to use straight away as its been sitting for a bit, or should it still be left for 24hrs.
The tank has a cover over it to stop vermin and dust etc, not that i have vermin ....lol

Awesome question
I don't think many are lucky enough to still have a gravity system with all the use of combi boilers
I think your sorted mate. Should be peach to use straight

Re: Using water from the water tank in the loft.
I am not sure about that. It all depends how much water you used through the day. I believe the tank is continuously refilled once you use x amount of water. So some of the water in there might be still fresh? Also as this water is in a tank, which is supposed to be sealed I believe there is nowhere for the water to breath from and to evaporate the chlorine?

Re: Using water from the water tank in the loft.
Good question Glynne. My old tank could breathe so would evaporate but having 3 kids my water used to get used a lot. I also used to worry about how clean the water was or wasn't tbh. I didn't want another unknown factor if I started to have issues if you get me so used it straight from the mains and let it sit
