Personally i dont rate tube heaters i have a 1m long one i think only 150watts but does feck all to keep my indoor grow cupboard warm
That is because your heat is escaping somewhere. You need to make it prisoner

I noticed at least a 5 degree difference when using a 1FT long in a 2x2 tent. :oik!:
Inside a sealed environment I could probably see the benefits but in my environment it might not make a difference
You're inside a tent that is pretty well sealed. It is the space around the outyside of the tent you also need to keep warm or you may be pissing in the wind. Or using lots of electric which is what you were trying to avoid in the 1st place.

I think it would come down to a few factors, like price range and power useage.

If you can afford then I would try one of the IR heaters.

But before hand I would splash out on more insulation. I laid my tin shed pout with the aluminium bubble wrap type insulation called YBS but that set me out around 80 quid or could have been more, in a 12m space.
I then also used some under floor 6mm thick boarding, this black stuff whcih also made it more noise proof.

What ever the price for insulation, I'm sure it's cheaper then my radiator in the long run!

The shed itself is on the colder side unfortunately so my intake is bring colder air in which is why when my light is off my radiator is pretty much constantly on.

In my new groom build I have staged things, so I have cold air at the moment coming into the main room which then runs over a heater, then the tents all just pick up the air from the main room through the tents vents etc.......
I then have another fan slwoly pulling air out and buffering things to eradicate smells from when I am smoking in there etc......

Is that a washere or a dryer in front? Maybe utilise the heat from when you use that? Although it wouldn't be a constant heat so fluctuations may be more trouble.

Condenser dryer. Works wonder when it's on. Not on very long though. I use it more then I need though. Yeh i need to plan ahead and re adjust things. Moves stuff about. Even put the radiator in front of the intake or something. No room for that at the moment though. Have some duvets over the top of it now 🤣

Have you thought of either building a small internal room, or purchase a larger tent?

One reason I called mine a groom in a room. I have the main shed/garage, then a tin shed inside that and then all my insulation etc inside that lol.

You could make it simple and design to build a small wall, even made of plywood would do, cheap and effective, hinge a door on it, put old curtains up around the inside, bingo you have insulation. Any trapped air is insulation.

I've got a 4x4 but if you can tell in the picture, there's metal support beams. So the 3x3 is the perfect fit to fit in between the beams. If that makes sense. Cheapest option I guess Is to do what you just suggested and try build round the tent with some plywood and small holes for the duct. Don't see why that couldn't work

This is what I origionally planned for mine, then I spent I higher budget.

I will do some more work on options and design for this to give people more of an idea I think.

I had lots of ideas. Cold room storage units was one, small caravans backed into a garage, but my garage was too small
