Like many others I have just registered here from The Green Circle. I’m looking forward to getting more active here, seems like an absolutely fantastic place. Also, it seems super busy/friendly which is a massive bonus!
So I’ve just started my 3rd grow, although it’s really only my second ‘proper’ grow, as my first was in a 35x35x70cm micro box with the worst climate in the world. I still got about an ounce dried and it wasn’t too bad, however absolutely everything went wrong… everything! Lol
This was my first little box:

This is my 2nd grow which yielded 13 ounces dry (hard to believe, I know!):

Basically my fiancé wasn’t too keen on the idea of me growing as we are in prohibition land (Northern Ireland), so I convinced her with the tiny box. Then after that went reasonably smoothly I then wriggled my way into getting a 2x4 tent. My 2x4 is only 4ft/120cm high due to my limited head height, it’s the biggest tent I could find with that height.
I’ve slowly been upgrading my kit, bit by bit, and now my setup it absolutely smashing it. I LOVE IT!!!!
I’ve just recently set up a Trolmaster Hydro X environment controller and an Autopot gravity fed system.. both of these are absolutely amazing in their own right. Bought from Sam @ Leeds Hydroponics who was amazing to deal with.

Anyways, my full setup is as follows:
- HydroLab 120x60x120cm tent
- Meiju 240w Quantum Board
- MIGRO 100 COB LED (both of these lights were given to me by a friend who moved country last year - I’m going to upgrade to an HLG 350R at some point next year when I can afford)
- 6” Phresh Hyperfan v2 EC Fan
- 6” Secret Jardin Monkey Fan, 7” RAM fan (both just for airflow)
- 6” Carboair 50 carbon filter
- RAM 5L humidifier
- 400w mini oil filled radiator
- Autopot 4-Pot Easy2Grow system with a 47L tank, 8.5L pots paired with a Hailea HX2000 pump to stir my nutrients
- Trolmaster Hydro-X Environment Controller with a temperature station to control radiator, humidity station to control my humidifier and also a TSH-1 temp/humidity station to control my 6” EC Fan
I only just set up the Trolmaster last week, and the autopots a few weeks ago - absolutely love them both. The plants love the autopots. Always perky, always happy. I must say, Trolmasters customer service was impeccable - they were a massive help recommending everything I needed to flawlessly control my equipment and also on how to set it up/wire it in.
The Easy2Grow autopot system fits perfectly in the 2x4! I also managed to find the perfect size storage box to elevate the reservoir off the ground, bingo!

My job over the next couple of weeks is to mount all of the Trolmaster control units neatly onto the wall with all wires hidden etc. Just haven’t had a minute.

It seems like people here like a lot of detail… so I’ll continue boring you all!
Medium wise, I am growing in mud… yes, mud. I started with BioBizz Light Mix as I found all mix to be too hot the last time. I amended it with about 15% quality worm castings and about 35% perlite for drainage.

^ not sure if I went too heavy handed on the mycorrhiza, but they seemed to love it… who cares!
I also added some TNC (The Nutrient Company) Bactorr S13 for some microbial content.. I’d love to try Recharge but you can’t get it where I’m from unfortunately. I also used some TNC MyCorr Maxx as my mycorrhiza product when transplanting etc, works wonders. I dry amended the soil with the Bactorr s13 and I’m also hand watering it in every couple of weeks also. I learnt that I have to turn the reservoir off for about a day before and a day after to prevent over watering.
More importantly, onto my genetics! Royal Queen Seeds were kind enough to sponsor me some seeds, they seemed to like my photos on Instagram and gave me the opportunity to pick whichever strains I wanted from their site.
I ended up with:
- White Widow
- Power Flower
- Green Gelato
The 4th is a Banana Slammer bag seed from a friends harvest, it was one of the nicest smokes I’ve ever had, so thought it would be rude not to grow it out and see how it performs.

Anyways, I decided to grow out 2 of each RQS strain except the CBD one (for now) and then keep the best one of each that I thought would do the best.

After I chose the best of each, I couldn’t kill the others… I just couldnt. So I decided to treat my local forest park to some foreign species.

After this I potted the ladies I was keeping up into the autopots and hand watered for the first 2 weeks or so until the roots built up.

As soon as they were potted up they really found their legs and took off.
I’ve been following VPD to the letter and it seems to have paid off. Their growth has been fantastic. Keeping to 26 degrees Celsius and the appropriate % RH for each stage.

Shortly after this I decided to top them!

Once they recovered, I began to start some LST and get them into their own “quadrants” in preparation for the ScROG.

I also tactically planted them non-centred to help with space too, in case anyone noticed! Lol

For the ScROG net, I built my own out of 3/4 inch PVC pipe and 3 way elbows, self tapping screws spaced out exactly the whole way round and green gardening string for the net.
So here’s how it was whenever I applied the net..

I just consistently bent any branch that was trying to breathe right back under the net until it was nearly completely full..
Here’s a few pictures up until today where I flipped to 12/12 last night - I am so excited, but nervous how much they’ll stretch as I’ve got little to no head height lol.

Now that the net is sufficiently filled, I let them breathe for a couple of days before I flipped, now here we are over the last couple of days and that’s us pretty much up to date.
Jesus, that took a long time to write up and upload each picture one at a time. Haha

Everyone, meet Fred. Lol

Also, I forgot to mention what bloody nutrients I’m using! A friend of mine who’s an extremely good and extremely experienced grower recommended I used Remo, and what can I say.. the ladies love it. Really easy to follow feed charts for a relatively new grower like myself.
Previously I was using Green Planet Medi-One one part just until I found my bearings learning at the very start.
Hope you’ve enjoyed the update so far dudes and dudettes!
