Im hps so when light on no need for heater, Good point mate! Mine does at the moment with lights out I’m not sure efficiency, I’m hoping to insulate my box in shed after this bud dry. I chopped today as where they got heavy was resting on each other and mould and bud rot where it been so wet so didn’t wanna risk it

Im hoping I can get kingspan or somthing to line the box, as like you said it just drops just as quick so hoping I can afford to do it properly,, your girls look very good! Lovely colour! What strains mate? I looked at tube heaters but the reviews were quite shit tbh
Thankyou mate 🙏 thought about kingspan around my tent but I don't know how well it'd work in my shed.

Have 2x dosi x f1 durb x gushers
2 x kushmint x strawnnana
From purple city Genetics.

Debating wether to throw my 400w hps up with the boards but I think it'd be a over kill in a 3x3 😂 such thing as too much light.

I just have my lights turn off at the wrong time. Unfortunately it just fits around my daily life well.
I'm not seeing many positives on tube heaters also.
No I haven’t either mate! And yes I’m not sure what else to use haha, fingers crossed it helps and is noticble diffrence, they are some good strains there mate! Is there anyway you can use your hps instead of one of your leds? As I know when my hps comes on no heater needed at all however like you say it’s to do with the timings your running, I defo know what you mean when I move to coco on next run I’ll be changing from 7pm to 7am to 6pm to 6am as need that exstra hour to feed everyday, please let me know if you do find low power heater as I think mine is a ceramic 1.5kw heater so defo not good for electric bill haha
I'll follow along on your next grow and see how well the insulation works for you. Taking one for the team

I've thought about adding the hps aswell but it's really when the lights are you that my heater is working overtime.

Felt sick at the last grows leccy bill BUT it won't stop me! Sooner I'm out this shed and in the house the better. Would love a loft conversion like keeno or even a basement.

Insulation is always the way, but at a cost. Although I do save my polystyrene to pack around my grooms crevice's lol.

For my main groom area whcih is built in a concrete shed, I use this:

https://www.toolstation.com/2kw-convector-heater/p77317

It is thermostatic benj so it can use low amount of power if turned right down. I have used it inside a .8M before in winter but that was in my wooden shed! It also has a cut out switch for when it gets too hot. It did have a fan on it but that broke! Saying that just the thermostat and element alone is enough to keep warm my 12m area.

Then inside the tent I use these:

https://www.toolstation.com/dimplex-the ... px4/p16540

This is a 4ft one but I use a 1 ft at 45W which goes on my floor around where my plant pot goes.

Thankyou mate. I'm sure there's a way I can turn down my radiator but I don't know if it turns down the wattage? It's so old it's just 2 switches and a rubbed out dial.

May try some polystyrene 😂 make any difference?

Do the tube heaters put put much heat? I've read they wouldn't really make a difference. I couldn't put any heating outside the tent otherwise I'm just throwing money away. It's a large concrete shed that will get colder quicker then heating it up. In the summer it's a dam sun trap though

How about a water bed heater mat to warm the pad

They obviously don't throw out that much heat but I noticed between 3-5° difference using one.
Every little bit makes a difference though, I just used to keep adding whatever I could afford. Bits of improvement on insulation, more tube heaters. Maybe try 2 small ones, 25 quid or something.

I don't like anything in my tent with any element wires etc..... just the thought of loose leaves and bits of debris burning away inside my tent 😬

The tube heaters are splash proof, which suits me. My Dimplex one has lasted the longest. Elixir cheaper one I've just had to replace as it blew out 2 fuses and died :idn:

I used to put a heater tickling over in winter in the main room, spent more on electric but that's the price you pay for better weed.

I invested in a well built groom so it would save on electric and keep things cooler in summer. It's a nightmare 😫

Personally, I think your pissing in the wind unless you start using insulation. Even if you don't want to goto the expense of kingspan, consider draping some loft insulation over your tent something like this

https://www.diy.com/departments/diall-i ... 812_BQ.prd

It's cheap and non irritant. Even using spare duvets, blankets and sheets over your tent will help to retain some heat.

I have always been hesitant to say too much about insulating like this in case of fire hazard, but as long as you are careful not to cover up electrical sockets all is good.

A duvet is a good idea.

I always have an old bedsheet draped over my tent too and then another one or two hung around my shed door to stop warm air escaping and cold air ghetting in.

Every little helps.

To be honest mate I inow I'm pissing in the wind. It gets to me! I was going to start piling on duvets and sheets over the tent but I thought that wouldn't make a bit of difference. I've even got the tent sat on an old shaggy rug lol. I will be getting round to insulate the shed and I'm actually bed shopping for a bigger bed so I'll have spare duvets lying around

You think that'll stuff will be alright? Contemplating going B&Q after work to pick it up. Just wrap it around the tent you reckon?
