I use a pressurised sprayer now with an extension. That is a life saver watering with nets.

Use the net, that bullsh17! It's personal preference. You wouldn't wear the same boxers baxkwards if someone else liked to

I am setting up a tent with Living soil, cover crops, netting. In fact I may use X2 nets. One thing is though, I will have access the 3 sides of my tent as I will have the room to. But I have done it with 2 12L pots in a .8M tent, whats that, almost 3'...? ...that was with having access to 1 side only.

Thanks @Afton, I'm not too sure what you mean by "extension on a trawl", but you're right about them needing some support, although this net is too low for that, so I might just raise it up a bit higher. The Pineapple Upside Down Cake is very brittle - already snapped two stems on main growing tips and barely touched them, so need to be gentle.

I know it will collapse into a mess if I completely remove the net.

I think it was partly the Build-A-Soil guy who mentioned avoiding scrog, as he reckons in living soil the plants like to be about the same size and shape as the root mass, rather than much bigger/wider, which works fine in hydro, as the plants are force-fed, but not letting that put me off yet, so will see how this run goes and adjust accordingly if it goes badly.

4 sides, normal, inside out, back to front then inside out/backwards

@sybarite a trowel is a hand shovel you use in the garden. It's line 10 inches long. So if you say take a stick to the handle it will make an extension to the handle to where you can reach the back of the soil in the tent to top dress.

I thought you said trawl, as in trawler net. What is this esoteric fisherperson knowledge I've never heard of? Oh, a trowel, I know what that is

Thank you for the tip. Part of the reason no-till appealed to me initially was that there seemed to be less bending and reaching under a net every other day, as I was doing before with my old method of BioBizz nutes, Canna soil and a funnel with a long tube on the end. My spine is slowly crumbling, so it's nice being able to stand upright with a pump sprayer twice a week or less (these self-watering pots work very well), but good things rarely come without effort, so looks like there will still be some back bending after all, albeit less often.

I managed to raise the net without destroying the plants, so that may make life a little easier.
