Re: End of flowering light times.
How would cal/mag help in the final few weeks as you are still feeding your plant? wouldn't a flushing agent like Botanicare Clearex or Athena Cleanse be better?
Going try rasta jeff way this time round 18/6 aswell as dropping temps/dli etc but not forgetting not the ph in final weeksohlordyeah_420 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 11:44 amhttps://youtu.be/wS1e1tAW0dE

Doesn't Cal and Mag help chelate and group available nutrients together? So hence helping pull excess nutrients that are immediately available to the plants?ncrypta.core wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 12:47 pmHow would cal/mag help in the final few weeks as you are still feeding your plant? wouldn't a flushing agent like Botanicare Clearex or Athena Cleanse be better?

Re: End of flowering light times.
I flower 11on/13off from the start. Last two weeks, I've reduced lighting by an hour in order to help buds know it's end of season. I notice a general "falling" of the buds as the light is reduced. I remain undecided on whether or not it helps buds finish.

Re: End of flowering light times.
your not adding cal/mag for plants your adding it for the coco, even in flower. the coco is constantly breaking down and even buffered coco you should add cal/mag.ncrypta.core wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 12:47 pmHow would cal/mag help in the final few weeks as you are still feeding your plant? wouldn't a flushing agent like Botanicare Clearex or Athena Cleanse be better?
i've never used flushing agent but if it's designed for coco your probably right mate and you can just use it.

TBH its summink i tried and can`t say i noticed any difference, raising lights a few inches should have a similar effect though if it works to finish up plants like dropping lighting hours is said too.
this here, could of said it better.

I grow in a bubbler with soft water at 110ppm and it needs the calmag till Week 4 of flowering then I drop it.
I flush with water only.
these lovely ladies are flushing at the moment.

I get that as coco needs cal and mag through the plants life as the coco feeds the plant cal and mag but it’s not needed in final flush. Final flush is the only time you give plain water. The goal of the fianl flush is the plant uses whats left of nutrients in the medium and cleans herself of any leftover nutes so you get a nice tasting bud. Lol This is just my view.
The last time I did coco I didn’t add cat mag for the last 3-4weeks with no problem mind it’s like silca acid not needed after week 2 of flower unless your aiming for weight.
