High potency weed causes huge surge in psychotic episodes and mysterious vomiting illness in young users
Cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome, also known as 'scromiting' - a mash-up of the words 'screaming' and 'vomiting' has become more common in recent years
It is mainly prevalent among young, daily weed users and is characterized by non-stop vomiting and psychotic episodes
The condition is also becoming more prevalent as the amount of THC in weed products increase
The surge in patients with the condition is now straining hospital resources
Symptoms can cease when a patient stops using marijuana

Just read the study they did, it only studied physc patients, nothing to do with scromiting and I don't see how they allowed for other factors, tthey jjust seem to have decided beforehand that it was cannabis that caused the problems

Oh please, it's just propagandist warriors trying to sell yellow editorialism. Personally i never heard of "hyperemesis"/"scromiting" as a yong man and not even psychosis before so-called "Légaleezation" was in the air more recently. As a matter of fact, as a student i chose hashish because of its safety reputation compared to LSD which ain't much more addiction-inducing anyway... Besides, simply look at the source, it's business as usual and they still can't disengage from their Victorian-age obsolete spirit/endoctrination as this would prove they've been misleading multiple generations while recognition of such mammoth mistake would devaluate the value of their "information" today!

CHS is not very well known. [28] Some emergency room physicians have referred to the symptoms as "scromiting," a portmanteau of "screaming" and "vomiting."[29] In lieu of a correct diagnosis, the average patient in the US may be charged $100,000 or more in medical bills through emergency department visits.[28] An emergency department physician in 2018 commented that the condition wasn't on their "radar" in the 5 years prior, though the condition was being diagnosed more often now.[30] Many people are struck by the notion that cannabis could induce symptoms of nausea and vomiting, given the common perception that cannabis can be used to prevent nausea and vomiting.

I'm calling Bullshit and as egzoset says, yellow journalism.
I cannot help but see the connection between the legend that is Outlaw very recently having two test cases in the UK for possession (1oz and 6 oz) acquitted due to lack of evidence. He paid two people to get nicked so his barristers could present the request for evidence that shows that cannabis was scheduled because it causes harm (any drug on the schedule must have evidence that it causes harm to be scheduled).
The acquitals were documented as stating that the prosecution did not provide any evidence. Thus proving that cannabis should not be on the schedule, because there is no evidence of harm.
He is also taking the government to court over this, so they will be shitting themselves right now.
Then behold, the Mail prints this.
Smell a rat anyone?
Just saying.

Yeah, typical tabloid writing, I can't even call it journalism, nothing in the article stands up to even brief inspection. It's all boll locks but you could have guessed that from the source lol
