I underestimated the scale of what I was trying to do here. With the added false floor thanks to 1970's bastard house wiring . But this is nearly there now. I'm waiting on a delivery of some pipe, pumps and ducting to run under the false floor, this should be here Wednesday which means the chipboard flooring goes down and the plants move in

Another milestone met today and one of the last. The floor is down, pipework is run under it and all wiring in place for 8 plug sockets. All that left now is the 2 stud walls and 2 end walls then throw some plasterboard about. Im on target to have pants in there in the next 2 days whci is needed as they as in serious need of potting up.
Ive removed the old insulation and laid 100mm earthwool into the new false floor. Ive left the end of the floor joist open this is so if get a pest issue i can nuke the under floor space:
Next down was the 12mm foam underlay. This si there to stop vibrations and some sound. Ive also left it just baggy enough for a slight dip in the middle of each joist. Should i have any water issues it gives the water some channels from which i can put a tray under.
The the 18mm chipboard flooring went in.
Tomorrow ill get the walls up and start boarding.

Sounding great,I have used the rock wool in my daughter's house between bath walls and bedrooms to reduce noise,it is great stuff,works well,very fireproof also,here its called mineral wool too

OMFG, i needed to drain the Wilma res last night in the cupboard. Good time to test the pump. I attached the hose, sent the missus into the bathroom with one end and plugged it in...........
I think she may have woke the neighbors up, it sounded like someone was being killed in there, its so powerful it splashed back out the bath, hit her, hit the ceiling
Its defo going to have enough power to get feed from the 2nd floor to the the loft

You'll be surprised by how much the flow reduces with a bit of height to overcome. Power: 240W
Voltage: 110-120/220-240V
Flow: 9000 L/H
Max Jet: 5.8M
Outer Diameter: ø22.5mm
Size: 285×167×180mm
Maximum head (height you can pump to) is 5.8m. As long as you don't go over that (with added friction loss in the pipe), you'll get flow out of the end. More head = less flow, so at ground level, that pump will push 9000 litres of water out the end of the spout that is on the pump. If you add say 3 meters head to overcome and I'm guessing about 5 meters of pipework (at 22.5mm), you will not get 9000 lph out of the pipe. I'm not sure how quickly the flow curve drops off, but it should be giving you about 3 to 4000 lph at the end of the pipe. 66 l/min ish. I'm guessing here and working on the idea the its a linear decline in the flow curve.
If they produced a flow curve for it (I've looked and can't find that info) I'd be able to tell you what you'd get at the other end, in terms of lpm exactly :)
If you do find the flow is too high, just fit a 22.5mm gate valve and close it off a bit. You're better off doing that nearer the pump end of the discharge pipe to give the water a chance to 'settle' before coming out.

Thank you for explaining that. I never understand what im reading tbh. Its probably only 2.5 meters actual head height but the pipe does run another 2-3m horizontal under the new floor up there to where ill be using it.
