Some one please help
Hello I am very underlit and wondered can some one help me to work out what light or lights I’ll need for my room in shed
Size of room is 2.5m wide and 1.5m depth
I have 2 viperspectre p600’s, but just realised they only cover 60cm so please help! I haven’t got huge budget.
Any suggestions appreciated as I can’t work it out all just numbers to me

Re: Some one please help
On a budget you want 2 x 600w digital ballast and shades. Lumii black do kits for around 70 quid each. Will get you started and can upgrade as you go.Stickylemonz wrote: ↑Fri Jul 02, 2021 8:43 pmHello I am very underlit and wondered can some one help me to work out what light or lights I’ll need for my room in shed

Re: Some one please help
Or what about buying a Mars hydro ts1000 so I’d have 2 p600 one side and 1 ts1000 as I don’t think my dad will allow me to use hps

Re: Some one please help
The issue with the lights you have and the other you mentioned is for a 2.5 x 1.5m is its simply not enough.
For a full grow cycle in a 1.2 x 1.2m area, just under half of your space you ideally want 480w of led to get the most from it. This doesnt mean you can't use less but it does mean the lights you have will not cover a 2.5x1.5m area even with the addition of a mars ts1000.
The rule of thumb for grow lights are:
1.2 x 1.2m area = 600w of hps or 480w of recent led lights. For hps 150w per plant, for led 120w per plant.
Hps is hotter and costs more to run but is a very cost effective way to cover your area.
That being said you do not need to use the full area. If hps is a no go then get the mars 1000 and use it with the 2 mars 600 over 4 plants in a 1.2 x 1.2 area in your shed. Rather than try to use the whole area. This will tide you over till you can upgrade to more or more powerful led.
