Re: Next auto run
Yeah I've used soil with perlite all ready added in the past (plagron, biobizz) and have added extra perlite.
I've found when doing autos in hot soil it really stunts the early growth and as autos are a ticking time bomb really it's not the best.
I suggest some 50/50 coco and soil mix for the first few weeks (If using the finishing pots I'd just make a hole and fill it with the 50/50 mix so the roots can then grow into the full strength soil.
As gmo said, just water for the first few weeks. When it looks a little hungry then start with the nutes. If using fish mix from biobizz it is awesome but a little goes a long way.
Hope this makes sense

Guano from Plagron is a mix of bat and sea bird poop...2-Scoops wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 2:17 pmFeck knows tbh but my thinking is treat it as you would any soil and soil + water = can become a soggy mess and less aireated than other mediums like coco and i still add 25% - 30% perlite to coco. Personally myself if i did a soil type grow from what i read and seen i`d always be adding 25 to 30% perlite, but i`m far from knowledgable on jobby here myself.
Also read bat shit can be a little hot for young plants but tis great for taste used in bloom ? Point being it sounds like he has a mix/medium already full of bat shit (h&g guano mix) and he`s also got another sack of plagron guano which i presume is bat shit. I know theirs other types of guano from birds etc but most times when i see it used online for growing tis generally bat shit
The H&G soil has got some perlite in it. If I add 10 litres per bag extra, will that be enough?

Re: Next auto run
With what Ohlordyeah has just said and hot soil stunting auto`s which you really don`t need personally speaking i`d be using at least 25 perlite to the H&G mix and leave out the Plagron guano to start with, but i think perlite is better aireation than coco although both are well aireated. Also i`d prolly leave top 2 to 3 inches of your pots empty and then you could use the plagron guano as a top dressing to fill pots when you start seeing fluffy buds starting to appear in flowering what with guano being great stuff for that tasty bud effect. Not only that you could also make a guano tea once or twice through -out flowering with Plagron guano as a boost in flower. Doing this hopefully you might not need to use bio-bizz too often maybe not all, feck knows tbh.Gupz wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 2:36 pmGuano from Plagron is a mix of bat and sea bird poop...2-Scoops wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 2:17 pmFeck knows tbh but my thinking is treat it as you would any soil and soil + water = can become a soggy mess and less aireated than other mediums like coco and i still add 25% - 30% perlite to coco. Think i remember reading once upon a time it`s the seagull type guano best for taste so that plagron stuff should be ideal if it contains the stuff used in bloom/flowering for that added pZazz to your buddage

Re: Next auto run
I got some canna coco and a 50l bag of perlite on the way! I'm going to use the coco for the seeds and then transplant to the bat mix soil + extra perlite when they are ready.
Had a few of the seeds pop already. Blueberry cheese from Barneys farm seems to be way ahead of anything else atm.

Re: Next auto run
So I’ve done a 33% perlite, 33% coco, 34% bat special mix and potted up.
I popped some Dutch Passion Blueberry autos in as well, just because some of the seeds didn’t look very active in the paper towel.
Most have come up, so I’ll choose the best of them after a couple weeks.
Light is a 190w Dutch Passion LED set at 65% and about 20” height above the pots.
Watered in with a very light dose of root juice.

Re: Next auto run
A little under a week in and I’ve got some yellowing in the centre of the new leaves on a couple of the JH. 2 others (JH) have mottled leaves. Almost like there was some water residue on them
Fk what that is.
Otherwise, all are looking healthy and doing as they should be.
Shortest in the middle to give them a little boost of light.
Staying in the 9cm pots for at least one more week before the transfer into their forever homes.

Re: Next auto run
I think you need to take a pic under normal light to get a more natural look at the leaf colour.
I'm sure 2-scoops will point you in the right direction then.
